This started off as a black ink drawing, but after scanning into my computer, I played around in Pixelmator to add the background and some effects to achieve the final result. This was going to be my first attempt at either Inktober ot Artober. Many thanks for looking !

Procreate /sketchbook mix.

Tidbits of things overheard in the pub earlier this week when I was short of inspiration = this.

I painted the background in watercolour. The self portrait was a separate pencil sketch. After a bit of mucking around with them both on my phone, I came up with this. In case you're wondering, I have septum piercings, which is what the protruding part is, near my nose.

And that concludes another sketchbook! New one incoming...

I think I'm getting the hang of painting florals with gouache. It helped to decide on a palette and pre-mix the colors.
