Nature in another world

Mother Nature in contemplation, the butterfly representing she sees through all the living.

Original ink drawing on Watercolor paper, 12"x18"

This is a logo made up of doodles. That's about it.

She is Urduja. I named her after the legendary warrior princess from the Philippines. A national heroine.

Just a drawing I did of a veterinarian and a dog she takes care of. The blue and orange color scheme was really fun to work with.

A journal page from a couple of years ago.

Butterfly # ?? : The Swallowtail this was hard! Firstly trying to illustrate a swallowtail without decapitating a poor swallow... then trying to fit these two together. More paint splatter effect for a bit of zing

butterfly #4: The Clouded Yellow. The hardest part here is the background! It would be too easy just to paint a cloud...I have about 5-6 different backgrounds, but only uploading one here is my fav of the bunch

A combination of colors and shapes swirling in space. No reason, just fun!

Representing with a doodle the modern human behavior. #doodle #human #humanbehavior #behavior #funny #bizarre #ink #traditionalart #art #smartphones #stupid #idiot #brain #humor

An owl perching on the bench in the silent night.

My friend wanted nautical creatures for the back of her business cards, so VOILA. These are ink doodles that were scanned and given some color/grunge in Photoshop.

Noodlers...random sketch with narcissistic selfie...

I feel kind of lost these days... I am an artist, this is who I am and this is the only thing I wanna be, but can I really do it? Can you do this, even though everyone around you say it's impossible? Do they all have a point when they say that "but you are so smart!!! Why would you wanna waist it and be an artist" thing? Other people may see my job as a dream job, but I hate it.. all I want to do is create, be an artist, be me. But is it really possible?...

Erna drawing her maps, to find her hidden nuts. Her glowing friends Gottfried and Frederike are helping ...

Another face in my journal that has black paper.

This painting/ drawing is started in the Abstract with forms created organically. I used Acrylics and applied them liberally as you might use in watercolor techniques. I love challenging myself to create in this form, as I do in finding the figures which may form themselves in the process. I then detail the figures in a drawing style to enhance and bring it forward. It’s part of a three piece series I made in this color story and can also be seen on my ArtFinder page, available for purchase. @adrianajgarces

Drawn with a red gel pen

Just a page trying to depict the rainforest and road. I got lost in trying to draw the vegetation. I felt frustrated about this drawing at the time, but now I like it.

This spread was unfinished for over a year and I finally got around to completing it. Micron on Molskine sketch grade paper.

All you have to do is lift your chin up to encounter the most fascinating things in life. What would it take to lift up your chin and talk to the person sitting right next to you. I fear that one day we will forget the very essence of being a human.
