Well this was more fun than i expected... Initially i just wanted to illustrate an Ox that was a bit of a moron. But as we all know the term Oxymoron also showcases irony. And w that i was off & added 15 extra cartoons. See if u can find them. Here's few that i think might b impossible to decipher from my drawing. A Plastic-Glass, a Dodge Ram & a near Miss.
Normally i start w an idea or whim & doodle away trying to capture my thots. On this one i simply scribbled onto a page & then looked hard for shapes, animals, faces & any other unorthodox item. Then i simply added some color. I plan to do more of these mostly as a gr8 exercise for fresh runaway doodles hot off the press!
I'm currently doing exercises from DrawABox. Although the header here is: "The Aspiration is just to fill a page. It's not a product. No one has to see it." I will probably end up posting more of these. This is not the same as the graphic journal, which is more about me, my daily activities, etc.
I always found Chicken & Salad to be somewhat of an oxymoron... the word Salad usually means delectable fruits & vegetables... Right? So whether it's beef, pork, chicken or spam... it feels like cheating. & don't think i am fooled by bacon bits either! So this of course made me ponder what possibly a Chicken Salad farm would look like. Or maybe they are produced via eggplant? Either way it's closer to an actual genuine 'salad' & brings more validity to this vegetarian staple. Good day!
I graduated from school with a degree in Bachelor of Science is what my teachers told me is a good enough degree to get hired in the art world but I don't know what in the art world I want to do. It took me six-years to get a four-year degree and eight years after graduating from high-school to figure out what I want to do with my life. I want to be a freelance artist creating my own work and doing commissions for others but even with my degree the level that I am at now is not good enough to sell neither am I at the level I want to be at. So.... I am taking the rest of my twenties to get at that level starting at ground zero and learning the basics from this website I found www.drawabox.com. This image is one of the exercises I'm doing. I have seen some amazing artists here and would love to learn from all of you so if you have any feedback on my work or would like to have a conversation between artists please don't hesitate to send me a message. I started painting with acrylics again towards the end of 2018. On 4x6" canvas wraps, they were so small, but so much fun to paint. I was pleased with this one except for the fact the magentas for the foxgloves weren't as vibrant as I hoped. The location that inspired it is Irfon Forest in Mid-Wales. I can't imagine it's a particularly touristy spot, but it's an absolute hidden gem with extensive views over the Brecon Beacons.

These to fantastic friends are characters I made 2 or 3 years ago. Gremlin is a mix between a fox (who finds his face ugly) and a goblin who was incredibly smart, and Mr. Brick is a small robot with a living soul that Gremlin created. I was looking through some of the old comics, and decided to make a new Mr. Brick and Gremlin comic, when I got the idea for this disgusting comic. I hope you found it funny, it took a while to make.
