I've been absent from the site for months, due to working on a book. But now that I have a bit of spare time, I've been dabbling in watercolours, something I haven't done in years. A bit rough to start but I'm enjoying it.

An exuberant, almost psychedelic take on a magical mushroom. The bright chartreuse cap is adorned with striking magenta spots that pop against a textured, almost chaotic background. Hey everyone! This is my first upload to DOODLEaddicts and I start it with Nier Automata fanart. I hope you enjoy it! Despite using Procreate for this drawing I tried to preserve the traditional art approach, not using autofill for coloring. One might say it's very inefficient way of painting, but it helped me to concentrate on the process and enjoy it much more.

Graphite and charcoal with white acrylic paint for some of the stars. This year, my brother and sister in law got a telescope, so their family had a space themed Christmas. This was my contribution. Side note, I only just thought about how cruel I was to drop my nephew off in the arctic circle with only a tee shirt. We'll just say it's the north pole and the magic keeps them warm...
