I so enjoyed the inktober and now I am going to do whatever whatever for awhile. I grabbed a sketchbook off my shelf. The paper is thin and rough - bad for ink, but so nice for pencil. Experimenting with new gel crayons and pastel paper …fun!

Its been a while. Here is a new one that I have been working on for a few days. Its my first attempt at using graphite powder for the black background. I used a Lyra 9B Graphite Crayon and ground it down myself into powder. Worked really well. I also purchased a Strathmore Series 500 mixed media roll. The amount of high quality paper for the price - it can't be beat. I am excited with this drawing!

Tried my Poscas on a sheet of toned tan paper in my sketchbook, and doodled up this cute rubber hose like bat character enjoying a nice Halloween night while being carried by 3 spooky/funny jack -0-lantern balloons.

Imani seated, massaging her neck and shoulders. I may have overworked this one. Charcoal pencils on 9” x 12” brown sketchbook paper.
