A drawing that turned out better than I expected. Two hour seated pose. Pencil, Charcoal Pencil, Pastel Pencils on some weird pad of paper I found in my closet.

A cafe that makes only baked goods with berries, staffed only by bears. Mostly marker, with felt tip pen and a little finishing in Photoshop.

The source reference image was from an impromptu photo shoot I did several years ago. The available light in the room was magical and the model was just sitting there meditating. Pencil, Charcoal Pencil, Pastel Pencils on 9” x 12” Strathmore Archival Sketchbook Paper.

Trying some pastels after the drawing prompt. I like them. They are portable and you can create some fun effects. Of course, everything still looks like a seascape to me.

Clouds - an ever changing landscape.

Thanks for missing me, Doodle Addict app. Pastels - as in pastel colors? Well...depends on how far we can bend that. Inspired by the hurricane that passed through this evening. The wind bent the largest trees to the ground. I'm happy to still have my roof.

Pastels...I've never been a huge fan of working with them, mainly because I can never seem to get them to blend or move the way I want. I think this turned out okay; it's not the worst it could've been...not the best. It was fun to try, considering the fact that I rarely try new mediums, and it got my mind off everything I've been worrying about. Anyway, enjoy.
