a different kind of Christmas pattern

A motif I having been enjoying in my sketchbooks lately but this time experimenting with positive and negative space. Watercolor and Posca pen in 8.25x11.75 Moleskine sketchbook.

This is my second shot at a full page floral abstract. “Trippy Forest” is my extra-colorful one, but this one is focused on details done in red, blue, black.

Made with patterned origami paper and fineliner.
