A rererework I finally liked. Opinions are welcome. Done with Kuretake brushes and gel pens. I used a photo from Girli as a reference.

The title comes from words I saw in a dream this weekend past. Chinese food before bed = interesting results for the sleepy mind.

When you find a mondegreen in one of your favourite Magnetic Fields songs and it sets off your creativity... Can’t be only one mishearing things here? Stephin Merritt sure knew how to mumble back in the ‘90s, that’s for certain: https://youtu.be/UGNKhVJbDM8

Aaaaaaaaaand, September is here. Let's make this autumn a creative one...

Kicking art blocks where it hurts, one step at a time.

candyborn come in many shapes and sizes ... but i just really like to draw the candy cane type a lot ...

Saw this missing cat poster whilse out running errands the other day which started off with the sentence "Answers to Esme", and those words have been circling around in my head ever since. Naturally, the end product here had little to do with the finished artwork!

When your girlfriend gets you more Pokemon plushies and you’re an artist… you know exactly what to do!

Fantasy (of the more pronounced variety) is the order of things here.

Life in lockdown/business as always.

This is one of many people that I will be using in my Senior Thesis animation project. My project is to create an interactive piece that is aimed for teaching young underrepresented minorities and girls the design process for a robot. :)

Bob the Drag Queen is a legendary performer and personality. She is one of my favorite people. I kept the composition simple to focus on shading and facial dimensions. I paid close attention to not lightening her skin tone and respecting her heritage but also contrasting the gold dress and blue background.

Meal time for the jellyfish.

New sketchbook time! Onwards to new doodling-flavoured adventures... Keeping it simple to start things off (as is custom).

All manner of quirky looking animals on some safari in the deep sea.

Sperm whale time!

Today’s busy streak continued!
