I have been participating in this event since 2006.
I designed this picture to illustrate the human heart toward God.
Understanding the symbolism in the design
Human heart: A Fortress
God’s Communion with Man Kind: Irish trinity flowers, with the crown, cross, dove
God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit
The two doors: the diverse ways mankind communes with God.
The door with the thorny flower design: A religious person who live with out power. They refuse to allow God to sit on the throne in their lives.
The door with the Grape Vine design: A follower of Jesus, who summit their lives to God’s lordship.

A fun project to pick up and put down when I feel like it. The pendants show the fixed element. The element next to the character represents a specific birth year of people I know. I am the wood rat. :)
A colorful and dynamic scene depicts a Cosmic Christmas Tree with swirling galaxies and stars against a dark background. The vibrant colors blend together to create an impression of movement and energy in space.

One year towards autumn a geologist was living in the pilots' hut. He couldn't speak either Finnish ow Swedish, he just smiled and flashed his black eyes. He would look at people and immediately make them feel how surprised and happy he was to meet them at last and then he just walked on with his hammer and hammered a rock here and there. I had fun with this one! I wanted to draw a blanket but wasn't sure what to do with it so I turned it into a fort... Which in turn inspired a whole landscape
Inspired by a turn of phrase my girlfriend used to describe certain ex-friends of ours who got lost to conspiracy theories and generally problematic attitudes. Needless to say they’re haunted by all kinds of ghosts, wherever these people are!

What is so terrible about a child screaming?
Why should it disturb us?
Just because we happen to be there to hear it?
What about the child who comes from an inadequate home, where he gets no encouragement from his parents
Where he doesn't have enough to wear, he doesn't have enough to eat, he comes to school hungry...

**ENDANGERED SPECIES** This small bird the Golden Cheeked Warbler #goldencheekedwarbler #endangeredspecies also known as the #GoldFinchofTexas lives and breeds in Central Texas particularly somewhere around the Edwards Plateau, Lampasas Cut Plain and Central Mineral Region. The main reason of the threat and decrease of this small bird’s population is mainly because of ranching, agriculture and land development. At present, there is no known record of the number of Golden Cheeked Warblers remaining.
Both buildings and trees are things I'd like to be better at... I'm going to have to branch out from leafless trees and decrepit structures eventually but for now the trees stay leafless

This study of a piano was done for a woman who was a missionary with her husband. They served in a Christian ministry that reached out to military personal and their families, through the teaching of the Holy Bible and showing hospitality. They have been missionaries most of their lives. I met them while i was a summer missionary the year I was in college. I went back two more summer to help , and they became my friends. The woman is a gifted piano player, so I was asked if i could do an illustration of her piano for her. This couple have inspired me through their dedication of using their lives to serve God through serving others, that many may know God through the teaching, and living out the Word before others.
