"There is," said the marzipan pig, "such sweetness in me!"
"The Marzipan Pig" by Russell Hoban is one of my favorite books. During the pandemic, @pgoedi from @communitybookstore read it and I drew it. Found it again and wanted to share it.
This makes me want to draw live again. It is such a nerve racking thing and so fun!
Going through a mental health journey, and created this fella. This is not the complete image, he will have bat wings and devil horns. I just hit a small wall with some of the layers. But I will have the picture complete when I can. I finally started drawing again after weeks of depression. So excited to see where this fella goes.
Cross posted to Tumblr:Fun fact: before long, before all of my demon OC's,Ghost OC's, Object OC's etc.I made a scene girl oc since little ole me couldn't cope with the fact that I couldn't be scene at all (family and money reasons) tween me made one.Her appearance now is way different.Shes now afro Latina. I don't remember her original outfit so I made her a new one.Gave her pigtails because why not?I guess she still looks like a stickman because she was one back in the day! finally..she has a name!her name is Chrissy Temple! Wish I still had my old drawings of her I made in Ms paint and in paper lol.I don't know why I keep dreaming of obscure OC's of mine?
Thoughtful comics by author/illustrator Dale Rogers. I'm retiring from an 18-year career as full-time faculty in Multimedia Design. It's time to write and draw. Follow me at https://edrawingboard.com.
Rescued this book from the trash, showed it to a kid who used to have a guinea pig. He said, in a horrified voice "What a nightmare!" And so this phrase is saved for posterity.

Rebelle 6 by Escape Motions is out. It's a blast! Pigmented blending, watercolor granulation, nanopixel dimensions, new transformation options. Really enjoying it. (Drew this in it.)
One day I was watching Aliens, Predator ,and AVP things and It just make me get so inspired. I love those franchise to start with ,but gosh getting exposed to those franchises again just pouring art juice on me to get me so inspired to create as you this art piece. I wanted to have minime alien coming out of adult aline chest instead of cliche baby alien coming to make it different than what people expect. I just wish I had Artist grade color pencils instead of student grade I used on my color pencil art pieces, but soon or later I want to get artists quality color pencils. I am dying to try Polychronos color pencils. It is oil based color pencils. I been using wax based, but polychronos are expensive even more so than Prismacolors. If i want to save money and i gotten this brand before . It is Staedler triangle coloe pencils. They sell this stadeler color pencils of 48 colors for $13 at walmart.com. I might get that one I dunno. I do wana get Polychronos if not prismacolor but anyways Here is the art work using shitty color pencils. It seems like this scan looks better than my originals cuz i scan it and bring it to Photo impression software that came with the scanner to boost a bit of contrast cuz if u did not know student grade color pencils have less pigementations and more white fillers so u cannot make dark really nice dark or hightlight really nice strong highlight like artist quality color pencils can bring. DONE 2022 WITH STUDENT GRADE COLOR PENCIL ON 11X17 BRISTOL ORIGINAL ART $160+S/H AND I AM OPEN FOR COMMISSION COLOR PENCIL OR LEAD PENCIL WORK. SIZE RANGE FROM 8.5X11, 9X12, 11X14, 11X17 COMMISSION RATE STARTS FROM $20 AND UP. LEAVE COMMENT OR JUNGMEISTER4@YAHOO.COM I AM SELLING MY ORIGINAL ART. Sakura Pigma Micron pen and DR PH Martin Radiant Concentrated Watercolors. One side was painted, then embellished with ink, scanned into Photoshop, copied, flipped and pasted to make the two sides. (Fairly large image, so I included a couple of details.) Silly but fun to do. A little "acid" and a few hours of gazing is all you need for a profound experience. Ask me how I know.
This started as a pen line drawing (with Skura Pigma micron pen) which I then painted with Dr PH Martin's Hydrus watercolors. They are fun and very bright. This is on Strathmore 300 11x17 Bristol paper.
