Malthus is also very sadistic, persistent, aggressive, terrifying, and pure evil. Done with lead pencil on 11x17 80ibs strathmore drawing paper. This character is based on demon that came in real life story. In Annabelle comes home movie is where he gets involved the most. Started as the weekly prompt, but I kinda wandered off track. So instead of drawing yin and yang in opposing colors like I sat down to do, the B-Team happened in secondary colors!
Colored pencil drawing of pomegranates "in progress." Prismacolor and Verithin pencils with some fine lines done with Tombow Irojiten pencils. I like the harder colored pencils for fine detail, but the blending of high wax and oil pencils can't be beat for blending.

I generally make marks on something every day, but I'm really TRYING to do it purposefully in one single journal at a time. I also have super ADHD, which means I pretty much never go up to my actual studio and usually only use what's out on my desk, because out-of-sight-out-of-mind.
This is an ATC-sized (3 1/2” x 2 1/2”) watercolor. I’m practicing bolder strokes with heavier pigment. Big departure from my usual uber careful strokes
A quick group portrait I made to try making a timelapse of the process. The timelapse is posted to my instagram account. This time, I used brown and yellow bister ink on watercolor paper. Normally I paint the monsters themselfves, but now I used negative painting to create them.
I used soft charcoal and a large sheet of newprint to depict this model in a life drawing class. He exuded a deep sadness and his poses seemed natural to his countenance. He was also very thin.
