Lino cut prints. Practice copies. I ended up removing the leaves and making them on a separate piece of lino.

This is based on a couple of lino cut prints, acrylic paint and gold ink. I have rediscovered my love of lino cut printing after many years and hope to do much more of it.

When I was a little girl I was drawing postcards and during holidays I was selling them to the neighbors for half a shekel. At home my family always appreciated my creativity. Because of this when I moved to Israel, I decided on an art degree where I had the freedom to try different kinds of art. I became a painter and my final exhibition at Shenkar College was a plumbing work with sculpture and dio. Nowadays I am more involved in digital painting and specializing mainly in illustration and design. I take my inspiration from nature because it has an amazing integrity. But of course a simple emphasis will make most people notice it better.

This piece is called, ‘Mrs Victoria,’ I created this for a friend in 2018. This is on a canvas. I use acrylic paint. This was a request, he was telling me the type of art that he wanted to give his girlfriend for her birthday. I love challenges as an artist, and it helps me to try new things in my art. My style is kind of versatile. He brought the piece, for his girlfriend. They both loved it. Prints of this piece is now on sale on my ArtPal site. As a child of the 70s, I have very fond memories of sitting on the floor in front of our little colour TV, and watching and adoring Lynda Carter bounce around, kicking ass and fighting crime. I’ve always loved Wonder Woman, and I'm fascinated by the myriad ways she’s been imagined and re-imagined over the years. For mine I focused on her dualism – the goddess beauty vs warrior strength, combined with the colour and curves of my childhood. In terms of the art, I thought it would be fun to allude to classicism for the subjects association with Greek mythology and form, and balletic contrapposto as a homage to Lynda's classic spin.
