After a gorgeous sunny day in the garden, the wind picked up in the late afternoon. Too windy for a walk, so I drove my son to the GG bridge for his nap and stopped at the welcome sight of St. Ignatius on the way back.
In the process of developing the next "Bird, tree, card" painting. Building off the root sketch and incorporating a harpy eagle. Which heard of but never really "looked at before... and wow. They are beautiful, huge and so odd.
This head is from a broken sculpture I found in A church of Rome when I was exploring the city, you can see a lot of these sculpture on the streets when you look around.
Sadly not St. Patrick's day themed... These are plants and objects found around my family's backyard, along with a stray skull. I hope to play more with ink as a medium in the future.
i haven't used just pencil in a while so i thought i'd try it out. i think it turned pretty well. i love constructive criticism, so feel free to hit me up.
I decided one day to do some shading on one of my little cartoon fairies. This is the result. A fun little piece featuring a fairy and little lightning bug discovering each other. :)
