Oh, the gore! The violence! Movies warn people of what they may see. But nothing can really prepare anyone for *gasp* cigarettes! Watch at your own risk. You’ve been warned.

Took an old pencil sketch and made it new and improved with colored pencil.

I had to do this quickly before work but if im going to do this everyday i might have to wake up earlier especially if i want to add more detail.

White and sanguine conte pencils on toned paper. These ruins captured my drawing itch with the quality of the light filtering brilliantly through the tangled growth outside, and the open shade within. At a metaphorical level, the image is about the sense of having a laborious path set in stone for me by custom, convention, and culture, while way is wide open to the chaotic fertility of nature, should I choose to follow my own feet and heart.

Just before the Christmas rush really intensifies and we bid 2024 adieu, it’s time for me to break in another sketchbook… Given the timing of it all, and life in general right now, the name “The Watt Nows” seems very pertinent for this new volume!
