A few years ago this little guy showed up. He started appearing in my doodles as encouragement. Always defending, never judging. He is the side of my brain that tells me everything is going to be OK. He builds me up, which is why I named him Buil.
A pencil and watercolour study, inspired by Scott Christian Sava's "60 days of studying the masters" on Youtube. This was intimidating from start to finish, by far the most complex drawing I've ever done! It took me almost a week to get the drawing right, but the painting was done in a day. In between were many days of feeling overwhelmed, lost, and then afraid of messing it up. But I got there in the end and I think I pushed myself to a new skill and confidence level. Good thing too, I've got 58 more studies to do!

This is my first attempt at traditional egg tempera painting. The panel is a Masonite board from Michaels, but I need to use true gesso because the egg tempera will not adhere to acrylic gesso. Some of my favorite artists used egg tempera. Andrew Wyeth, Robert Vickrey, and Colin Fraser are all masters of this ancient and archival medium. I have been self studying this technique for months and I was very excited to start experiencing the medium. Egg tempera is like layering stained glass on top of stained glass. the painter can expect a luminous glow to take shape as the colors blend visually through the layers of paint - assisted by the chalk of the true gesso. Egg tempera has been described as the closest painting technique to drawing, hence my draw to this medium.

Another Star Wars fan art piece of my all time fav character from Star Wars. Which is telling how impactful his performance was considering he had very little screen time. we are talking just minutes in each film.

This is my study of the destroyed Darth Vader mask.from the movie Star Wars, "The Force Awakens. This ink rendering was my design for the pumpkin carving contest held every year at The Chadds Ford Pa Historical Society headquarter.
I chose to do this mask because it illustrates what is the ultimate destination for all who chose to live in the darkness of sin,in stead of living in the the light of righteousness.
The mask belong to the villain Darth Vader , who die while trying to force his son to join the dark side of the force. So I thought the destroyed mask over the letters "The Dark Side Of The Force." reflect the Biblical principle " Sin gives birth to death."

This mixed media piece is what I call a Monday to Monday piece. At the start of each week while working on other pieces I often times have left over paint or want to see how something works out before I put it on the main piece I’m working on so I use a piece of heavy weight paper to test all that on and just keep adding to it through out the week. It also gives me a space to just make whatever I want if I need a break from the main pieces I’m working on.

the time when i drew this 2021 . I was very much into demonic thing of phase like real life demons like Malthus or valak or movies lie Conjuring and Annabelle. Was into something like that (Still am ) and in hardcore phase of paranormal activity and ghost that it made me create this image. I end up throwing this drawing away cuz i did not like the shoulders. It did not come out right.

The monochromatic weekly challenge inspired me to do an eye study. I've been having a bit of a composition block and thinking about starting to sell at art fairs, so my thoughts are preoccupied. A big fan of the Star Trek universe and was especially impressed with the final run of Picard. This is the new Enterprise in action, heavily damaged but winning a battle against a Klingon Bird of Prey. I wanted a unique angle and decided to flip the starship upside down. It's space; why not. I created this piece yr 2016 as portfolio to get into a company doing sketch card art, but by asking some sketch card artists on this site about how much you get paid for doing this sketch card art`and it was so ridiculous that I decided to not send this portfolio piece to the trading card company also you have to give up your original artwork to the company cuz they need to put this sketch card art in the pack of trading cards so lucky buyer will get the original sketch card that is the idea. For how much they paying the artists for giving up their original art did not make any sense to me .

Another pencil drawing from 2014. I had a long break from drawing and painting between 1994 and 2013. The arts teacher of my high school made me feel like shit and i decided to quit painting. At 36 years old I realized I missed it and started again by buying a set of pencils as a birthday gift to myself.
I dedicate this work to my beloved pet, Cenna. Although she left me a few months ago, my memories of our time together will never fade.
Thank you for everything you gave me, Cenna. For being there every time I started to cry, for watching over me while I slept, and for always being by my side when I needed someone to listen.
I miss it all, Cenna.
