Done 2016 with color pencils on 9x12 bristol paper. I did this at my job about 80% and finished it at home. At the office job I was by myself and not much job to do at the company , so one day I decided to bring my art materials and start drawing and this came about after i looked at some creepy doll on internet , which urge to draw scary stuff. (2B pencil on 110mm x 81mm paper) An odd dreamscape piece which produced the unlikely pair of characters of a wizard and, what looks like, a rocker, with the wizard having trouble deciphering a magic scroll he's been given. The rocker doesn't look too impressed!
Today’s drawing gets it’s name from something I overheard someone declare at lunch yesterday afternoon. I’ve had kale often enough and yet, I’m not convinced it tastes *entirely* like grass... I could be wrong though. Thoughts?
Was initially going to try coffee painting with this one, but that clearly wasn’t happening...
Hence the mentioning of divorce here, it being my expectations being split from the reality this time around. Still, things worked out in the end!
An automatic drawing, everything is out of my head with only the briefest idea of a story line. I played around with shapes and lines and shading to see what affect would result. It was fun, but time consuming.
(HB pencil on 110mm x 78mm paper) When doing this form of automatic drawing, strange characters and weird objects do take shape, leaving the rest of the image as dream construct.
