DAY ONE I had a fucking busy day, and I could only draw at 23:00! What phrase could I do with the word SWIFT? I used a little bit of Google Translator, by the way. And I posted in the Instagram still in the first day, at 23:57.

I saw a man outside the library wearing a crown nestled into his cowboy hat. He was speaking swiftly, seemingly to himself, possibly freestyle rapping. Probably crazy. Then I drew some saints and stuff around him. I suspect he could use some assistance, perhaps spiritual.

In 2017, I tried the Inktober challenge and failed miserably. I made two drawings, no inking. This one was supposed to illustrate the word "swift" for the first day, but it fit better with the word of the 11th day "run". Anyway, I really ran that day and I drew that with my sore muscles and my body filled with pain. The doodle in my sketchbook was messy, so I redraw it.

One of the main reasons I got out of the military is because I didn't have much time to do my artwork. While I was stationed in Germany I did a few posters, and banners for a German/ American Playhouse, and I was in a European art show. This illustration was done during The Desert Shield / Desert Storm, during this war, many soldiers were afraid that our military equipment would fail to function due to the desert sand. While I was stationed in Germany, I attended a Christian hospitality house, that ministered to military personnel, and their families. I knew and heard of soldiers who died or were wounded in the war, we prayed for God's protection for those we knew were in harm's way. I believe the reason the casualties were low for the collision force is that God gave them a swift victory on the battlefield. No one should think that it was just might, and smart bombs, Iraq had the 4th largest military in the world. The Bible teaches that God causes the rise and the fall of nations.
