Being autistic and neurodivergent means I’m liable to mishear things quite a bit, especially when watching films where the sound mixing is utter shite (thanks sensory differences!). On that note, there’s a bit towards the end of Alien where Parker shouts “get out of the room” which I always interpreted as “get ready to roll” for years on end. Only recently did I realise how wrong I was!
Considering it was the final act of the film, I guess I can’t be blamed for assuming as such, right? If you know, you know as they say...
Hey everyone! This is an interactive website I did for my BFA thesis this year. The piece explores the struggles I’ve faced as a black, lesbian woman. This piece features events that happened when I was in an unhealthy relationship in high school, from late-2016 to mid-2017. The work combines CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and HTML with digitized images that I drew on paper, using black colored pencil. I'd really appreciate some feedback and critique for this work. The implementation of the project for the Akademos kindergarten in Poznań has ended. The idea behind the project was to create a jungle staircase in which children will be able to cover something new every day while walking down the corridor. Many animals, reptiles and insects are hidden in the thicket of plants. So that the number of details and small elements does not overwhelm the space, we used a black and white combination with small colorful accents, which are also to stimulate the imagination of children. Realistically painted birds are an additional decorative element, which can be a background for photo sessions.

o, the other day, I joined Artfol. While perusing my feed, there, I came across a submission for @millydoesart ‘s DTIYS and immediately decided I had to try my hand at this. It’s such a fun piece, and right up my alley (which is great, because I have been struggling artistically lately). Anyway, here is the end result. As a bonus, this only took me 5 hours! (I spent most of the time on the folds). I had a lot of fun. Thanks to @millydoesart for giving me the opportunity to try my hand at their wonderful concept
I finally did it. I completed my 100 gestures Challenge. You can do a gesture in 2-3 minutes (or even faster if you are trained), so you can complete such challenge in 4-5 hours. I decided to do gesture drawing as a habit, take some extra time to select poses which I find interesting and draw on most of the days at least one gesture. I started in April and now I'm done in December, which means 7 months later. As it is now a habit I will not stop drawing gestures after the challenge, but I passed a milestone. Thanks for watching.

Claire here with another species I designed! This is a digital drawing of what I call a Gormadon. It's likeness is most like a bear, but it has spikes and frills kind of like a dragon or dinosaur. I imagine this species to be quite big if it were real. Perhaps about the size of an adult elephant. This artwork was supposed to be a self portrait but it quickly turned into a more charming, awesome stylized portrait (not mine, obviously). This piece has a color scheme similar to midnight gospel and katana zero (video game), I have added the blue and pink color shades to make it a little bit interesting. I always enjoy making characters, but with a traditional medium, this is my first digital character design or more of a cartoon. This character is inspired by the vampire genre with the color scheme of pink and blue, the cartoony inspiration is from television series such as adventure time, Rick and Morty, and midnight gospel.

So I wanted to pay tribute to my amazing friends who get me through each and every day. Most of them don’t know I did this, they are more cartoony versions of each person. I love them so much.
