Sandman

Sandman going to bed after a long nights work of putting others to sleep. As an adult I love sleeping the whole night uninterrupted, thus sandman is my hero. White pencil and gel pen on black paper.

Ready For Instagram

(HB pencil on 190mm x 140mm paper) I'd avoided such social media sites up until now, but decided (reluctantly) to take the plunge after constantly being advised to. So, I did this quick drawing for the first post on there. It really says it all. If you're on Instagram, you can follow me on there. I'll gladly do the same for you: https://www.instagram.com/skavartist/

Horse study

After struggling with horse anatomy from photos, I finally decided to search for white horses, figuring that I would be able to see details more easily than on darker photos. It worked out well, the details were much more discernible.

Magnolia grandiflora

Magnolias are spring harbingers in our garden, as well as our annual ornamental cherry display. Star magnolias are over, tulip magnolias are in full swing, and the occasional Southern magnolia is starting. Perhaps I should have done this with a gouache paint, but I used colored pencils. Oh well. Outlined after with various sizes of Pigma Micron pens. Our garden: www.edgewoodgarden.com

Nature

Nature is where you become a true you, it's a place to disconnect from the world and to feel so connected to it at the same time.

Art ♡

Love the way this one came out.. Art is my favorite thing in the world. Here there is probably people that can understand this feeling, this passion. The more you do art the more you want to do art, and the more you need it. Art is amazing.

It’s Good to be King

It’s Good to be King, if just for a while. I draw in my notes for work every day. It helps me digest the things that are said in meetings. In the case, it simply divided one topic from another. I color in the drawings later or the next day, which helps me recall my notes and it is peaceful.

old prince fedren drawing

Im finally working on another drawing of him,it's that he's quite difficult to draw and it takes forever to finish unlike some other ocs you can draw in less in an hour, can anyone relate to this?forgot I still had this lying around in my phone.Still need a name change since "Fedren" doesnt fit him and I just made it up.He does look somewhat the same except now he has a squarish chin instead of a pointy round one, he's muscular instead of being slim,he also doesn't wear a pointless gaudy helmet anymore and his hair is less voluminous

Electric Field Trout

I don't know why these all upload sideways, but here's my latest work for the sketchbook. I created the electric field pattern and printed it on photo paper then doodled these rainbow trout (at the suggestion of my friend Andrew) and glued them on.
