I am quiet and sharp, strong and calm. I learn from the trees, I become the tree, I nurture the soil while it gives me back, and let the energy flow throughout the universe. I am a master, I am a slave, for the existence of them before me verifies my frivolous character in this game.
The only line added consciously is the hand. It leads the eye to the eye and thereby showing the viewers that it is in fact a figure. The shape on the right feels kind of right to be there, it really does not matter what it is. Compositional-wise , it works.
Tried out some layerish-style flowers using the alcohol markers. Not sure weather I like the result or not, but it’s definitely worth mastering the medium for the effects are rather cool. In theory... Unfortunately the camera sharpens the image and the flowers are more soft and blurry in reality. They look rather fancy and mysterious on the opposite side, too.
Charcoal is a new medium for me. This is violet szabo an agent in the s.o.e during ww2. She was shot as a spy in a concentration camp on Hitler's orders.i like to draw portraits of people with interesting stories to their lives. I decided to practice posing with a character that has a certain style. I also wanted to test a design for my artist logo. I will definitely be making a digital version of this character in the near future. Colored with Artify alcohol-based markers, and a white Gellyroll pen for highlights.
Inktense blocks. This is one of a whole series of portraits I've done of people's selfies with a galaxy background. My goal with the series is to show just how beautiful and powerful and Universal selfies are. Selfies are a valuable tool in self-love and self-acceptance. We take photos of all the things we love, but so often leave ourselves out. We all struggle to accept our own skins, and often give up, but as Carl Sagan said, "We are made of starstuff," and we are all worth photographing.
A 4" x 6" monochromatic portrait of Fear Factory's mighty frontman, Burton C. Bell. Honorably approved by the man himself. Prints for sale @ etsy.com/shop/DrawingsByLucia.
