This piece is in a style that, I think, is very different from how I usually drawn or paint. I had bought myself a set of acrylic gouache paints, and I wanted to do something to test them out since I'd never used them before. (I'm definitely not the type of person who sees something new and buys it for the heck of it, but here we are..) I will say, I'm happy I bought them. If anyone has these paints and can share any tips on using them, it would be greatly appreciated!

It was originally just an exercise, but it got to this beauty trying to hide, but her colors still showing bright.

I made this Icon Style Sketch on my new cappuccino colored (mid tone) sketchbook. It gives it a more antique feel, like an ancient scroll or something! :D This is of course, as it says, Saint Raphael the Archangel. I was on the fence of whether or not I was going to make a piece for the prompt, but I'm glad I did. I tested out some watercolor pens I had recently gotten (I definitely have to practice with them a bit more). I didn't really have a plan for this, and it was a bit fun to do something so spontaneously.

Definitely in need of an escape, methinks.

The past two days have been interesting, to say the least. My anxiety kicked up again, yielding two more panic attacks...oh joy. There's an increasingly chaotic external environment: COVID-19 positivity rates rising, looting, SAT nonsense (thank you College Board for not giving anyone information and for being very uncooperative). Am I angry at people in the world? Yes, and I know that's a generic, over-used phrase, but I truly am. I'm tired of all of this. I'm aggravated with the current state of the U.S. There's moments where things feel fine, and others when it feels like things are closing in. No one knows what the next few months will bring and tensions are high. Will things work out? They will eventually; they better. But, at the same time, what the heck is even going on anymore?

Got inspired while watching "The Shawshank Redemption" once again. Is this format played out? Please let me know.

This time I designed a logo using a special style of Arabic calligraphy called "Al-Diwani". This style is distinguished by its flexibility and beauty. Besides its capability to represent and any shape that I want using any words; so I can illustrate and draw anything using this style.

Each person of the Most Holy Trinity is crowning her and since doves don't have hands, I drew the Holy Spirit in humanoid form. :) The Eternal Father is in green because we often think about how he created all of Creation (as green is like a natury color ya know). Jesus in the Red of the Redemption and the Holy Spirit with the Brilliant White of Sanctification. Our Lady in her blue of Wisdom and Grace having the crown placed on her head. The crown has the Cross and M of mary like on the Miraculous Medal. ^_^ My Rosary pictures are complete! Wooo! :D Our Lady, Queen of the Divine Will, pray for us! Fiat. Here it is! The 4th Glorious Mystery: The Assumption of Our Blessed Mama, Body and Soul, into Heaven. I studied some icons on the dormition of our lady in order to get some ideas for this one. In the Icons Jesus is holding the Soul of Our Lady. Just as she bore him and held Him as a child so now Jesus holds her and brings her into heaven. Then you can see her assumed body above. Oh and according to ancient tradition all the apostles were brought together for this event. "Henceforth all generations will call me blessed; for he who is mighty has done great things for me" (Lk 1:48-49). "The Most Blessed Virgin Mary, when the course of her earthly life was completed, was taken up body and soul into the glory of heaven, where she already shares in the glory of her Son's Resurrection, anticipating the resurrection of all members of his Body" (CCC, 974).
