My new method of finding something interesting to draw - now that I'm mostly at home, like everyone else - is using StreetView. I use the app to search interesting places around the globe. This one is a sketch of somewhere near Lagos in Nigeria.
I generally make marks on something every day, but I'm really TRYING to do it purposefully in one single journal at a time. I also have super ADHD, which means I pretty much never go up to my actual studio and usually only use what's out on my desk, because out-of-sight-out-of-mind.

This is based on a couple of lino cut prints, acrylic paint and gold ink. I have rediscovered my love of lino cut printing after many years and hope to do much more of it.
Done mostly with oil bar, this is more akin to a sketch than a painting. It's great when you can get loose with the process and end up with something that looks like a finished work.
Here's something I drew in 10 minutes this morning. I was on call waiting for work to start and my anxiety went through the roof. Not sure why, but it did. My friend asked me if this sketch was a sound, what would it be? I said static. That's what things feel like most of the time: all-consuming, loud, abrasive static.

This picture I posted yesterday, the difference is the face- I hated it so much that I decided to fix it then upload it again. This just goes to show how fixing something simple can fix the whole picture. I hope you don't think I have OCD for fixing the face then uploading it again, lol

Today was the end of first semester, a bit hard to believe half the year is gone, a bit hard to believe we still have half of a year left. The past 24 hours have been nothing less than mental chaos (maybe my coach was foreshadowing all of this when he asked if I was ok last night...) Anyway, here I am, here we are. Mighty satellites crashed to Earth. Oceans swallowed up the lands. The World became new . Planet Earth became Illoniri . The people who were not crushed, tried their best to survive, and they did . But what was that like? Living in a world where everything has been taken from you ? Everything but your own life ? No communication, except with the people right next to you. Your own friends and family mutating and changing before your very eyes. Imagine ... gaining magical powers, riding strange and fantastic beasts, forging your own destiny from the ruins of the old world. Exploring the world you thought you knew. A beautiful and pure and young world, born of the ashes of the old one . What will we do to protect this new Earth? What lengths will we go to ? How can we keep our Mother Illoniri safe from evil ? I will fight . We all must fight. We cannot chance our world to be destroyed a second time. But maybe... maybe we don't have to fight? Maybe the reason Earth died and became Illoniri is because all we ever do is fight ? Is the answer so simple? Have humility and understanding, and we may all live? Keeping peace is easier said than done . Maybe we all just need to be kind and our Illoniri will be saved? Only time will tell... Until there is peace, we venture onward. It's definitely been a bit since I've posted, sorry about that, things have gotten very chaotic very quickly. I'm officially less than a month out from graduation (the finish line is almost here!), which also means it's time for my teachers to cram in projects. Other than that, I'm happy to say I received two official art commissions! I'm hoping to get something set up to hopefully begin selling some pieces, but, for now, I'll have some pieces in a gallery soon. Things, things, things, and Tony's face. Part of a larger project, hopefully to be completed soon.

Wow it's been 10 days already I'm very much impressed with myself for keeping this up. I had an American dad marathon and saw a butterfly in one of the episodes and the drawing prompt I've been using said to draw a snowglobe so i combined the two together.
Ive been so occupied with myself that im so way behind with everything (including drawing)ive been practicing animating too.I don't stylize my OCS at all because I have no idea why.I was inspired by the bratz to draw adely like this (big head small body big eyes and big feet)might change her pose and draw nelsy (new name) next to her.
