Can you believe this is my first time drawing Bowser? It's not perfect, but I love how it turned out for a first. I did this because my sister found this non-profit organization that makes lunch packages for hungry children. This organization is allowing people to send them decorated paper lunch bags for them to use. We're about to send our first batch and I'm so excited! I have the links if you want to join the fun!

Art Style (Self Portrait) Challenge #1: Big Mouth

Long ago a banana fell into an unknown bay and was washed out to sea. Through strange circumstances this creature evolved into an air breathing, free-swimming, sun loving, epipelagic level dwelling, migratory creature that reproduces by budding. It is rarely seen. If a predator is sensed nearby the animal folds in its fins and tail and if ever observed it is considered a water soaked piece of fruit and is usually avoided. (Saw a banana lying on the counter and it seemed to be looking at me. A quick photo and some manipulation and art work in Procreate brought forth a Musa Marinus.)

And this is the painting re-done (Posted original the other day). Original painting was done in 2006! I'm sorting through my art--what is worth a little more work--and what cannot be saved!!! This has been an emotionally challenging project. For one thing, in many of the paintings slated for re-do, I'm looking into my past.

Claire here with another species I designed! This is a digital drawing of what I call a Gormadon. It's likeness is most like a bear, but it has spikes and frills kind of like a dragon or dinosaur. I imagine this species to be quite big if it were real. Perhaps about the size of an adult elephant. Attempt 3 at drawing a a baby! This one is actually kinda better. I like how it turned out, it’s really light so I may need to retake but attempt 3 is a success!

In lieu of my last post, I asked about how to draw babies, this is my first attempt. :) Feedback is welcome!

It’s one of my OC’s (her name is Annie, short for Anabella). She has heterochromia, meaning she has 2 colored eyes, and I tried to match the butterflies with the color of the eye on the opposite side. The angle is supposed to be from above, with her laying down, and her hair spread out.
