I have been watching a lot of sci-fiction lately. Like so many others my age or younger, the weight of global warming sits on my shoulders constantly. I imagined the final trek through a wormhole as someone sees their new solar system for the first time. I enjoy the bright colors and such but wish I conveyed a more bittersweet emotion.

Sometimes taking just a short walk in the wild is great!

Appreciate any feedback for this sketch. I still have a difficult time drawing faces and hands so I focused on the rest. Any feedback is appreciated as I am trying to improve!

Unexpected Visitor This color sketch was done for a pumpkin carving design I did for the Chadds Ford Historical Society Great Pumpkin Carving contest. The sketch is a a lot more impressive then what you can see here ,unfortunately when the picture was scanned ,The Kinkos sale person chopped half of the image that shows the hands, one point at you, and the other holding the sickle,and the flowing rope hanging off the Grim Reaper's arms. I spent a couple of week just studying skeleton to do this sketch. I was Inspire to do this design by the thought that came across my mine about death. We are like helpless babies playing Peek A Boo when it come to our knowledge of the time death will drop by to pick us off. Some people who are terminally ill and are told by the doctor they have only a couple of days to live,must feel like the Grim Reaper is sitting right in front of them with his face hidden behind his hands, and when you lest expected he opens his hand like to great door turning on their hinges to open up to reveal him sticks his face in their's and shrieking ,"Peek A Boo," and followed by a hideous laugh . This is a good friend Mike Lee. Before he came to Canada, he took a bus to school in Hong Kong. On that bus he would sometimes see Bruce Lee on that bus, too! Of course, this was before Bruce was famous.

What do you visualize in your mind when you think of the prepare?

We all start from zero. We learn to crawl, we learn to walk, we learn to run, and we fall. We get back up and keep on going. But life is complicated, it doesn't always go as we hope for. The urge to give up drags you down. And we struggle to fight and climb our way back up. We fall again, we climb again. Sometimes weaker, sometimes stronger than before. The secret? Just keep on going, no matter how hard things are because one day, everything will be okay. And that glimmer of hope is what I struggle to fight for each day.

Don't have a lot of time these days so these last ones are all 30 minute portraits.

My favorite way to eliminate the often paralyzing fear of "ruining" "good" paper is to just paint on any and all junk mail that comes into my house. Higher end catalogs are great for this, they don't use slick, thin paper (and even that gets used in collage or as a desk cover for other projects) and they're already bound for you. Just add marks! Carry it with you. Scan the pages you like. Cut it up later for making other art. It's "just" junk mail, so there is literally no pressure. I have HUNDREDS of these type of things and I run across them all the time, forgotten, in some old backpack or purse or drawer and it's a treasure to look through them again, and add new marks, paints and words.

Hi, I know it’s been a while since I posted something but I got locked out of my phone last week and it took the whole week to get it unlocked and I’m just now getting back online. I also took a few days to think about the kind of art i want to post to this account. I started this year doing a 365 day challenge to draw something every single day but of course life is unpredictable no matter how much you prepare for it and posting every single day having something creative to share on Instagram did not work, so instead of posting every single day I’m just gonna post two or three times a week. I’m going to post stuff that I like that I’m proud of, that’s worthy of mentioning about. Soooo ,look forward to that | (• ◡•)| P.S. I’ve realized I like drawing and painting on objects more then I do canvas and paper which is why my future projects are mostly on objects.

After a couple days with not a lot of time and very small drawings, this was a very fun study break

The Meeting Bell Medium : Pen and Ink On Bristol Board Size : 11" x 15" Year illustration was completed : 1987 This illustration was part of a collection of pen and ink rendering i did for a christian mission, for their pamphlet that was published to inform the community, surrounding churches, and the military post near by, of the services they offered, and about their ranch. Their main ministry is to the military service personnel and their families. They offer a weekly dinner followed by a Bible study. They offer a place where service personnel could spend the weekend at the ranch for free, with meals included. There would also be activities they could partake in , such as going to concerts, going to amusement parks, visiting national park for picnics and hiking. The ranch holds retreat for military personnel who are in training, who want to learn about the Bible , and enjoy good home cooked food, rest, and out door recreation in the country. This ministry also lends it's facilities too near by churches, and to the military chaplaincy, for luncheons. This ministry is a great work of God, share God's word, and love through hospitality. About the bell. I call this illustration the meeting bell, because it sat right out side the activity center, and when ever a retreat was being held, the bell was use to let the guess know when a meal was being served, or a Bible study was about to begin. If you study the bell you can tell that at one time it must have been housed in some kind of church or fire house, by the big wheel attached to it's side, so it can be rung by a rope. Then when it found it's self at the ranch , they must have had a arm clacker manufactured, To strike the bell to sound.
