This drawing was an attempt at drawing something grotesque as well as a study of a side profile of a person. Alukah is a Hebrew word that means "horse-leech", a type of leech with many teeth that feeds on the throats of animals. Inspired by Jungi Ito's "Slug Girl" and "Leech Woman" from the film Puppet Master.
An appropriate title . Originally, this was a concept art piece for the origins of magic in the magical land of Nornwan . But, I've elected to leave it unfinished as it is ... strange . I lost the vision i had for it, and also decided it just wasn't going to e that good even if it were finished, Well, anyway, enjoy ! and on a better note ; Happy Thanksgiving !
The name for this piece comes from a billboard I noticed as I was heading home from a shopping trip not too long ago, and it’s stuck with me ever since.
Life in lockdown (needless to say) brings with it plenty of time for us all to learn and get creative in whatever way works best..

Ah yes, another hand. I never really realized how expressive hands can be, and I've been drawing them a lot more recently. (I swear I won't only draw hands.) This week has been quite the experience and has made me step back and look at certain things. (Who knew physics could be a metaphor for life?) Medusa has always been one of my favorite mythology figures . And ... well, here comes the rant , I'll never quite forgive Athena for making her like this . Ironically, I've only really seen Medusa in her monster form , and this form , in all its unique fierceness , is what I've always been attracted to . I know I'll probably get a lot pf flack for this ... so I'll just quit while I'm ahead . Enjoy the cute pic .

This theme describe well how my Xocolatl, born and raised near the equateur, feel about European winter.
She doesn't quite care for it.
(She is a jaguar/peacock centaur. Her pet is an inverted griffon, front of a cat, backside of a hen. Her name is Nugget.)
Acrylic gouache on MDF, approx 4x6". Part of an experiment: what if I painted the inside of a picture frame (ie, the inside of the backing board)? Result: it actually works really well!
Finally got round to watching Hunt For The Wilderpeople, after eons of procrastinating over doing so, and was well chuffed at how great it was! Gave me some much needed inspiration for some art as well, always a bonus.
Can see what the Deadpool 2 guys saw in Julian Dennison that’s for sure, and of course Sam Neill was brilliant as well. Can’t be forgetting Taika Waititi either for directing it! Excellent job from all in my opinion :)

I only drew Kitty, not the background. Don't ask why I'm so obsessed with DDLC... I do other things too, but DDLC is the main thing that I draw (Especially since I try to base my style off of the Doki Doki art). This didn't turn out as well as some of my other drawings because it's a bit smaller... Ignore those feet, I don't usually draw feet, so I don't have any practice... Anyway, if you have any suggestions or feedback, please let me know! :)
