For the new year I am doing the 365 challenge drawing SOMETHING EVERYDAY but on day 3. I wanted to do something with paint and tape but it did not come out the way I wanted but that's what happens when trying something new.
Happy Imbolc to all who celebrate it :-) Spent today with some friends designing seed packets for planting various flowers, vegetables, you name it… although this will inevitably house more Washi tape in my case!
Raise a hand if you've ever been pressured into any kind of physical activity that made you uncomfortable. Raise your hand if you've been raped, touched, pressured into sending pictures, or anything of the sort? A lot of you, ey? Bet you dunno who to tell, or how to tell em'. Often I am given to making marks on paper that reflect the objects I see coming towards me as I gaze out the front car window. I do this exercise as a passenger of course. The goal is not the end product, but the process of connecting what I see with motor control. The product is an indication of movement and energy. Give it a try!
Rediscovered the German language versions of Peter Gabriel’s third and fourth albums (terrific btw) and come ‘Schock den Affen’ was intrigued at how the German word for ‘monkey’ sounds a hell of a lot like orphan… of course that might just be my ears, you know?
