Aquella noche, al sentarse a la mesa ante la mirada de sus padres, Romualdito se sentía anonadado. Su padre le había dicho muchas veces que un pajarito verde le contaba al oído todo lo que él hacía. Era, pues, indudable que el pajarito verde le había contado su delito. Sin embargo Romualdito tomó su sopa, con las narices metidas en el plato, sin que ocurriera novedad alguna. Sus padres, como siempre, hablaban de cosas incomprensibles… Llegó el segundo plato, y lo mismo. Su madre le preguntó con indiferencia: -¿Te pasa algo Romualdito? Romualdito levantó los ojos y dijo con aplomo -No me pasa nada, mamá. No bien dijo esto tembló pensando lo que iba a ocurrir. ¡Había dicho que no pasaba nada, y había fumado! La mirada de su padre, que según este afirmaba, leía en el interior de su hijo, iba a descubrir su mentira. El fraile que se lleva a los niños iba a aparecer y lo iban a encerrar en el cuarto de las ratas. Aguardó un instante angustioso. Nada. El silencio, turbado por el chocar de los platos y los tenedores… Al llegar el tercer plato, don Rotulado dio un golpe en la mesa. Romualdito se estremeció. Pero era que don Romualdo opinaba que la salsa del pescado tenía poco perejil… Así, poco a poco, Romualdito fue serenándose y adquiriendo confianza sí mismo. Al llegar a los postres, miraba ya a sus padres frente a frente y sonreía. La comida había transcurrido con la cotidiana vulgaridad. No cabía duda: El mozo de cuadra tenía razón. Aquella distinción de “detrás” y de “delante” era toda una ciencia maravillosa, quizá toda la ciencita de la vida, y Romualdito, con la mirada lejana y sonriente, descubría horizontes nuevos e insospechados. Cuando terminó según el precepto de su buena educación, Romualdito se levantó, dio un beso a su padre y a su madre. Dijo ”Buenas noches”, en inglés, y se marchó. A Female Pied Flycatcher Ficedula Hypoleuca… The Pied Flycatcher is a summer migrant to the UK. As the name suggests, it feeds on flies that are caught by making a quick dash from an obvious perch. There are around 40,000 pairs in the UK each summer. The Pied Flycatcher is a small unmistakable bird that often sits with drooped wings. It spends its winter in Africa. Identification: Adult Adult males and females share the same plumage pattern but are different colours. Male Pied Flycatchers are small and chunky,13cm in length and are black and white all over, they are quite unmistakable. The upperparts are black and white, tail is black with white base to outer tail feathers, rump is a slightly paler, back is jet black, wings are black with white wing patch (tertials) The nape and head is black except for small white patch above the black bill. Chin and throat white, extending to form a half collar. The entire underparts are white, ie; chin, throat, breast, belly and undertail coverts. Legs, bill and eye black. After 1.5 hrs of experimenting... It wasn't easy to decide on what body shape my character should have. Through an "intuitive approach" of shifting anatomical proportions, it was still decided to remain on an avian's concept instead of a wyvern's. Wyvern can be kept to the wyvern... The phoenix needs something more like an bird's, after all. p.s: I also have to remember to keep the neck shorter...

I crawled right up to Daddy's modelling mirror which stands on the floor by the box of plaster. A great big black creature was creeping towards me. I got cautious and stood still. The creature was shapeless. It was one of those creatures that can spread itself out and creep under the furniture or turn into a black fog that gets thicker and thicker until it is quite sticky and gets all around you and fastens itself to you. I let the creature get a little closer and put its hand out. The hand crept along the floor and then was pulled back suddenly. The creature came even closer. I wanted to draw a few of the characters and the logo in my style. Ryu is the main character, and I like Catwoman type characters, so I thought Katt looked fun to draw. Also, I drew the logo slightly different from the original. I don't like to draw every detail exact. Bone Deep is a minimalist skeletal portrait rendered in graphite and ink on canvas, built through cross-hatching, stark contrast, and deliberate restraint. The exaggerated skull and hollow eyes confront the viewer directly — not with fear, but with inevitability.

Continuing to consolidate the colour profile of the White Bird. Even if the photo fails to capture it, those pale shades are actually a sophisticated mixture of grey, sky blue, pink, and purple shades, managed with eraser and finished with white. Have been working on my ability to manage lighting, softening the shades and contrasts. Colouring white things are actually not easy, because you will notice all the minute colouring differences much more easily.

#24 Anime girl doodles - I think I drew this sometime last year 2025 - I just never bothered to upload it. Most of it was sketched on Magma.com and part of the inking process was finished in Ibis Paint, with only minor adjustments in photoshop. I do all my digital inking on an iPad pro, and I use those hollow aluminum capacitive styluses that you can get very cheap just about anywhere. I prefer them over the apple pencil because the apple pencil is too slippery and heavy. More uploads coming soon...

Behind the Russian Church there is an abyss. The moss and the rubbish are slippery and jagged old tins glitter at the bottom. For hundreds of years they have piled up higher and higher against a long dark-red house without windows. The red house crawls round the rock and it is very significant that it has no windows. Behind the house is the harbour, a silent harbour with no boats in it. The little wooden door in the rock below the church is always locked. Hold your breath when you run past it, I told Poyu. Otherwise Putrefaction will come out and catch you. Poyu always has a cold. He can play the piano and holds his hands in front of him as if he were afraid of being attacked or was apologizing to someone. This coloured drawing I was working on for the past few days, wasn't very successful as I failed to properly bring the elements together. A few mistakes were made along the way, even if I managed to compensate for them quite a bit. But yea... There were a couple day's worth of journaling done on this one as I tried to make it a learning lesson.
