Another wobbly neighborhood. Focusing on color and composition and leaving behind perfect perfective and detail. Ultimately, putting fun first in my personal work moving forward.

Watercolor and India Ink on Yupo paper. If there is any single way to let go of detail and think simply, it is by using watercolor on Yupo paper. You basically have to surrender control and just see what happens.

Lead pencils F,B-B7, kneatable- ,normal-, pencil eraser, paper stomps, tissue on A3 bamboo fibre rag paper. Choose to draw her bald, for no particular reason. Zoom in for full detail. Photographed in the sunlight with the canon 28 mm f/1.8 prime lens. Photoshop for greysteps contrast-boost and cropping. Like if you dare. Or else post some critique. Just some try to imagine Christina bald. Realistic? Still doodling? Her eyes are like dominating the whole draw... kind of unreal, isn´t it?

This acrylic painting was developed from a spectacular photo that was gifted to me. As usually, I had to make some changes. The head was looking away. I created a model for what I needed and filled in details from research.

This painting was developed from a photo shoot at Presquile Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada. The bobcats were designed and posed by myself. The details of the fur were from research.

You have to start thinking with your head, think a lot, if you want to become a wizard - sighs Chirilo Bum - You are on one of the yellow points. The picture shows two tracks, each you need to cross. Paper, namely drawing, is a world of magic and witchcraft. The world of witchcraft, then, touches on the real, material world. I was studying the picture for a while and all I've concluded is that the green trail is not connected to another path. "There is an error here, it is impossible to reach the green path," I said to the wizard. - The only one who learns and understands the material world in which he lives is advancing in every sense - answer me the wizard Čirilo Bum - if your ground is firmly under your feet, it is easier to climb the path of witchcraft. On the other hand, too long a stay in the world of magic may end up with a fall in the unknown. I nodded because I did not get the answer I needed, so I went to the forest. "Do not forget to clean the house, my boy," Cirilo Bum told me as I left. I was in the mind other things, the formulas I found in the old books of Cyrus Bum. (Speaking of these magical formulas will lead to the appearance of five giants (Mato Bumps, Bruno Biceps, Miro Mass, Karlo Stone, and Alayas Him) in the world of Fantasy.)

This is another old sketch I made to test my detailing skills.

My tribute to my good friend who died earlier this year. Another white pastel on black paper. Not my favourite media but I love the effect of it. I need to practice more as I can't get my head around working on negative lol, erasing to get shadows and filling in to get highlights etc. I used a chunky white stick and a white pastel pencil but detail still eludes me lol. It's a technique I need to refine. It's the second picture of a dead person I've put on, apart from humph, so I'm a cheery little soul aren't I lol? Thanks for looking

A.k.a. the quick sketch of an interesting post that turned into two weeks of trying to digitally paint trees. Including close up for eye detail.

Next up is the finalized sketch. Specifically when I'm working on prints and commissions I do a detailed final sketch. It makes the inking/painting process a lot faster.

Final drawing 6 of 6. Here I fine tuned the piece. Spent some time on the shirt and wrinkles. Added little details like moles and neck creases. Finished up areas of shading. I had a heck of a time on his right eye. It’s the one area I couldn’t get quite to my liking but it is what it is. Overall, I like how this came out.

Progression 5 of 6. At this point his face is nearly done and I’ve begun to fill in the shirt. There is still more shading and fine tuning and details needed on to finish off his face, but at this point in a drawing I like to begin filling in the other details to keep some cohesion to the overall piece.

Unai Emery. Arsenal Football Club Manager. I think I could have put another hour or so into this and worked the finer details, but overall happy with how it turned out.

Whew!!! About 50 hours of work split evenly over line work and color. I think it’s finished ( famous last words)! I’ll check on it again in a few days for any final details... and get some good camera shots instead of phone camera. .... but I’m happy!

This has been such a joy to draw. I love the simplicity of the face with more details in the back. And how can you not love Sphynx cats

Each unique detail, from the soft elegance of the cherry blossoms, the chaotic nature of the setting, followed by the expression of complete calmness of her delicate features, helps portray the turmoils she once faced, and how she overcame her fears and saw her true beauty.
