been revisiting some older characters of mine. this one's a kid called aimery who goes to this american boarding school called emerson. he leads a fairly mundane life, resemblant of today's average high schooler, until a boy called oak shows up as an australian exchange student for the year. turns out oak's a ghosty magic witchy person who "frees" ghosts, or releases them from their non-material but conscious form into complete nonexistence. in short, aimery becomes attached before oak's untimely death.
I don't mess with oceans. One time, I just wanted to cool off on the edge. The undertow was so strong that I got trapped, knee-deep from the shore. Nothing I could do but just wait for the giant wave to pile-drive me into the beach. So much sand crack.
I finally finished this piece for my Aunt. It was based on a goofy picture she sent me. I am pleased with the depth I achieved and can see improvements. I am not most experienced with portraits or anatomy/characters.
A drawing made in Adobe Draw on the iPad. One of my first attempts on a strict color palette. Normally Im in to More is better, instead of that boring Less is more.. But it is fun to control the colors for a change. As a matter of fact, change is just good, even when its not.
Some more stylized withered versions of the Altitone band members, Elizabeth (on the left) and Altor (on the right). Elizabeth has ears but no cameras (which are usually located somewhere on the head (look at stylized withered Preistor for context)), so she is blind. Altor has no ears but a camera (which has been broken off and now sits loose in Altor's disembodied head), so he's deaf. Before version 2 of these guys, Preistor was maroon (once again, look at stylized withered Preistor for context), Elizabeth was teal, and Altor was yellow-green (mostly yellow). Here are the two tall animatronics. Jester (the one on the left) and Dellusion (the one on the right). They run a pizzaria. Jester and Dellusion are both sentient, but the others aren't. I'm still working on a final version of the shorter animatronics. But for now, have these two! I'm still trying to find a satisfying color palette for Dellusion, so if you have any ideas, let me know!
