A whimsical cross-hatched sketch depicts an elephant.

Claire here with another species I designed! This is a digital drawing of what I call a Gormadon. It's likeness is most like a bear, but it has spikes and frills kind of like a dragon or dinosaur. I imagine this species to be quite big if it were real. Perhaps about the size of an adult elephant. Reminds me of a Buddhist proverb: Patiently I will bear harsh words as the elephant bears arrows on the battlefield. Words are powerful. They stir emotions. We are the managers of our emotions. It is not what happens to us that is the issue, it is our opinion of what happens to us that is the issue. Peace.

I really enjoyed the Inktober challenge and this was my favorite drawing from the month. Been trying white ink for a new challenge, on grey toned paper. I've also challenged myself to draw more animals, so that's been fun. I can't remember drawing an elephant before, but my joke was that this one is ready for Coachella!
