Speed square

This piece continues my ongoing tool series, focusing on objects shaped by use, precision, and repetition. The speed square—an essential instrument of measurement and accuracy—is rendered with attention to wear, markings, and subtle imperfections left by time and handling. Isolated against a minimal background, the tool becomes both subject and symbol: a quiet reflection on structure, angles, and the human need to measure and make sense of the physical world. Like the others in this series, it honors everyday labor and the overlooked beauty found in functional objects.

The hammer

A portrait of everyday power. This hammer isn’t just a tool—it’s a symbol of the work ethic that built me, the late nights, the factory shifts, and the determination behind every canvas. Graphite, grit, and precision shading bring out every dent and edge. Simple object, serious presence.

Nowhere Fast.

"Nowhere Fast" is a compelling still life that blends mundane domesticity with surreal, slightly ominous undertones. The scene is anchored by a wooden table where a spilled glass, a pack of matches, and an ashtray with a smoldering cigarette suggest a moment of interrupted pause or quiet, long-term stagnation. Dominating the foreground is an oversized, weathered cigarette carton boldly labeled "WARNING", its subtle but unsettling presence hinting at a consumption that leads nowhere. In the background, a vintage RCA television set displays a stylized amanita mushroom, a recurring symbolic motif that adds a layer of psychedelia and altered perception to the otherwise drab setting. The earthy, muted color palette and soft lighting create a feeling of weary introspection, capturing a sense of being perpetually stuck in a cycle. The piece masterfully uses everyday objects to explore themes of vice, time, and the quiet, slow march toward an uncertain destination.

RECOVER YOUR SCAMMED CRYPTO WITH THE SUPPORT OF SALVAGE ASSET RECOVERY

Fraudulent companies have increasingly exploited the rapidly growing cryptocurrency market by offering crypto-backed debit cards that claim to allow users to spend their digital assets seamlessly in everyday transactions. These scams often lure victims with promises of exclusive “Platinum” or “Elite” cards, which require a substantial upfront deposit. Once the payment is made, however, the promised cards never arrive. I found myself caught in this web of deceit when I was enticed by the allure of a “Platinum Crypto Card.” The marketing was compelling, showcasing high spending limits and instant access to my cryptocurrency funds. I was convinced that this card would elevate my financial experience, allowing me to use my digital assets just like cash. After much deliberation, I took the plunge and paid $25,000 upfront, believing I was making a wise investment. But as the days turned into weeks, my excitement quickly turned to dread. The card never arrived, and my attempts to contact customer support were met with silence. It felt as if the company had vanished, leaving me in a state of disbelief and despair.Realizing I had been defrauded was a crushing blow. I felt a mix of anger and shame, grappling with the fact that I had trusted this company. With no clear path to recovery, I felt utterly helpless. That’s when I discovered Salvage Asset Recovery, a service dedicated to tracing and recovering cryptocurrency lost to fraud.I reached out to them, desperate for assistance. They began their investigation by tracing my digital transactions linked to the initial payment. Using advanced cryptocurrency analysis tools, they identified the scammer’s wallet address. To my shock, this wallet was part of a larger network connected to a notorious Ponzi scheme that had defrauded many others. Salvage Asset Recovery didn’t stop there. They worked closely with cryptocurrency exchanges where some of the stolen funds had been transferred. By presenting detailed transaction histories and wallet connections, they managed to persuade several exchanges to freeze the fraudulent assets. In the end, they successfully recovered $18,000 of my original $25,000 payment. While I still faced a significant loss, the recovery provided a sense of relief and justice. This experience has taught me the importance of vigilance in the cryptocurrency space. I now understand that while the potential for profit is immense, so too is the risk of fraud. Services like Salvage Asset Recovery are crucial in this battle against crypto scams, offering a lifeline for victims like me who feel lost and betrayed. The Other Game

Relaxed tension. Two parents at a national chess competition. Their kids squared off at the board, and so did they — one leaning back, shoe propped up, trying for calm; the other sitting stiff, watchful. The game played out in more ways than one.

Sharing the Love of God – A Quick Contour Sketch

Sometimes the quickest drawings hold the deepest truths. During an after-sermon discussion about understanding the love of God, I found myself listening with one ear and drawing with the other. Frank, seated across the room, made a natural model—relaxed posture, thoughtful presence, and a face full of character. With a pen in hand, I traced his form in a quick contour line, following the folds of his shirt, the tilt of his jaw, the stillness of his hands resting in his lap. Contour drawing asks us to see more than just the surface—it demands patience and presence, a slowing down until the line itself feels like prayer. Frank became more than a subject; he was a reminder that the love of God is often revealed in ordinary moments and everyday people.

Special everyday moment: Cool dude at the bike shop

My bike did not come with shocks; So, my spine feels every bump on the road. On a whim, I dropped by my local bike shop today to see if I could get a seat post with a spring in it, which would help with this issue. This employee was so helpful and had a focused cool air about them. I really admire people that are so focused on what they do and are very friendly at the same time. The seat post was only $10 and, since I traded in my old one, I got 5 bucks off of the new one too! My interaction with this employee and getting this good of a deal on bike equipment made my day.

Rainbow Collage

One of the other bits of art I'll sometimes do is collage building. I admit to recycling bits of everyday things from candy wrappers and ramen noodles lids to packaging information for later use. I do use a bit of my own artwork but that's not really the focal point and therefore, it's being excluded from tags.

The Storm

Everyday with Aspergers is a storm of overwhelm - some good, some bad, and some painful. This was an "intuitive" painting with tons of layers, and no preplanning (what?!). I used acrylic paints, post markers, and pencils - I think it shows the exhaustion and overstimulation really well.

Elveridrel the alceridian demoness

A fierce, rebellious, individualistic, stoic demoness who is eventually exiled from her home in Alceridia by Qasaherim.she is found by Erik and the rest of the peasant teenagers lying down cold and disturbed all by herself with ripped clothes.she recovers but she vows to kill Qasaherim once she returns to her normal form and to hell.she faces everyday obstacles as a peasant while Qasaherim laughs at her misery. She can read minds, open black holes, change time, time travel (which can be painful) she does have a final form (alceridians don't have final forms unless they were gifted by their creators for a special reason)but it's abominable and inconceivable and it's 700ft tall Qasaherim has a form similar to hers too.
