Casey The Puppet

Casey the Puppet. This painting captures the essence of a puppet lots of older Canadians will remember. A strange genderless creature with a dog puppet companion. A puppet with an outspoken personality that I remember as a kid wondering how it got away with saying what it did. The painting has a Canadian stamp to commemorate the puppet's roots.

It’s Good to be King

It’s Good to be King, if just for a while. I draw in my notes for work every day. It helps me digest the things that are said in meetings. In the case, it simply divided one topic from another. I color in the drawings later or the next day, which helps me recall my notes and it is peaceful.

Dragon Fruit
1/3

I asked my husband (who is our Covid-period grocery shopper as I am high risk) to bring home a fruit to draw. He came home with a dragon fruit. For those who don't know this interesting edible, it's from a cactus. There are two species: the Asian species is white inside, the Central American variety is shocking pink (see photo). Great in smoothies or when nicely ripe (as this one was) it's tasty eaten out of the skin with a spoon.

Back of house

Some months ago, I uploaded a drawing of the front of our house. This time, I drew the back of the house---in the same style. Last time, I used a Pigma Micron 005 pen, this time, I used a Uniball Signo Gel pen---which made the drawing a bit looser. This is a large house in the Pacific NW Modern style (a late 70's incarnation) with characteristic big windows, skylights, and jutting angles.

Augie Doggies Family Outing

This is my personal take on Augie Doggie when he's all grown up. He has two kids of his own named Annie and Alfred. Their mother's Peggy Poodle from the Augie Doggie short; "Growing,Growing, Gone", in case one wants to know.

Anxiety Has Me

I was feeling very anxious one day so I decided to look up what to do on Google. Google recommended I draw a bunch of circles. So I started drawing tiny circles, (if you zoom in you will see all of the circles!) and it turned out looking like an eye. So I added a tear :) The circles didn't help my anxiety much but hey it is an alright piece of art don't you think?

old prince fedren drawing

Im finally working on another drawing of him,it's that he's quite difficult to draw and it takes forever to finish unlike some other ocs you can draw in less in an hour, can anyone relate to this?forgot I still had this lying around in my phone.Still need a name change since "Fedren" doesnt fit him and I just made it up.He does look somewhat the same except now he has a squarish chin instead of a pointy round one, he's muscular instead of being slim,he also doesn't wear a pointless gaudy helmet anymore and his hair is less voluminous
