Man, I’ve been random lately. I think my mind’s eye sees stuff that normal people don’t. That might make me abnormal. I’m kinda comfortable with that. Guess who’s going to be watching some Clint Eastwood tonight?

Taking some inspiration from some things me and my girlfriend talked about regarding old highs in one’s past and asking yourself if revisiting them later on in life is worth it… the usual stuff I guess.

Being autistic and neurodivergent means I’m liable to mishear things quite a bit, especially when watching films where the sound mixing is utter shite (thanks sensory differences!). On that note, there’s a bit towards the end of Alien where Parker shouts “get out of the room” which I always interpreted as “get ready to roll” for years on end. Only recently did I realise how wrong I was! Considering it was the final act of the film, I guess I can’t be blamed for assuming as such, right? If you know, you know as they say...

18x24 watercolor paper, technical pen and probably pastel pencil or just regular pencil blended with a q-tip. This was done for a friend who owned a wine and spirits shop, so I guess it's a vine. Or a tree. Whichever....

Congrats to anyone else who took part in inktober this year! I focused on combining witches inspired by different types of teas and I had so much fun! I’m conquering my irrational fear of side profiles and I think it’s working, I’ve been really liking side profiles lately and finding them easier to do. I experimented on this piece with adding freckles (they’re a feature in all of my inktober sketches but I haven’t liked how freckles have looked when I’ve dotted them in with a pen or brush) and uh, I guess it was kind of a success? Next time I’ll use my lighter shading colour for them, as I used the ink I use for my lines and it turned out really dark and concentrated, but I think they’re cute! (and I have ink sprays everywhere)

Watercolour pencils and gouache on A4. I did this today at a Urban Sketchers meet up in the National Museum of Scotland - although, I guess, strictly speaking it does not fulfil the urban sketching requirements :D

had to paint light through trees in watercolor. The pattern on the chair was a pain in the butt, but I think it came out ok. Winsor & Newton professional watercolors on Blick premier cold press 140lb watercolor block. This is the first time I've used Blick Watercolor paper. It held up well, but the painting came out kind of light (not sure if the paper had anything to do with that, though). At any rate, I bought a bunch of it, so I guess that's what I'm using!

I have been dabbling in different images to create. I guess I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone.

Finally im doing an style challenge thats been on the internet for almost a decade now. Drawing a charachter in the styles of different media i enjoy. This are the first two, anyone want to guess wich styles i tried to copy here?

I decided to try another doodle - some inspiration behind this one - I’ve recently heard how life seems to be this constant dreadful loop, cylinder like walk, everyday the same. Life is more of a triangle, with the point of being up and down, one turn different than the next, and I guess you could say the next turn is unknown - why I left the one side blank, for your interpretation of what happens next.

In an ambiguous relationship, people's minds are always guessing. Pull a rose petal. Yes, he likes me. Pull another petal. Oh no, he doesn't like me. Even after tearing a bunch of flowers, the answer remains unclear.

Started off as something light and fun and turned into this otherworldscape. A better reflection of my mood I guess.

There's a moment in Black Panther where Michael B Jordan's character steals an African mask from a museum. When the other character with him asks why, he says "I'm just feelin' it." The mask he grabbed was VERY cool, and I kind of wanted one, too. But, short of stealing things out of museums, I guess I'll have to draw them. The Meeting Bell Medium : Pen and Ink On Bristol Board Size : 11" x 15" Year illustration was completed : 1987 This illustration was part of a collection of pen and ink rendering i did for a christian mission, for their pamphlet that was published to inform the community, surrounding churches, and the military post near by, of the services they offered, and about their ranch. Their main ministry is to the military service personnel and their families. They offer a weekly dinner followed by a Bible study. They offer a place where service personnel could spend the weekend at the ranch for free, with meals included. There would also be activities they could partake in , such as going to concerts, going to amusement parks, visiting national park for picnics and hiking. The ranch holds retreat for military personnel who are in training, who want to learn about the Bible , and enjoy good home cooked food, rest, and out door recreation in the country. This ministry also lends it's facilities too near by churches, and to the military chaplaincy, for luncheons. This ministry is a great work of God, share God's word, and love through hospitality. About the bell. I call this illustration the meeting bell, because it sat right out side the activity center, and when ever a retreat was being held, the bell was use to let the guess know when a meal was being served, or a Bible study was about to begin. If you study the bell you can tell that at one time it must have been housed in some kind of church or fire house, by the big wheel attached to it's side, so it can be rung by a rope. Then when it found it's self at the ranch , they must have had a arm clacker manufactured, To strike the bell to sound.

I've discovered some great jazz whilst working from home. I guess it's an age thing? Get to middle age and you're bang into jazz. I started off making some free hand lettering which quickly turned into me doodling the names of my favourite musicians. Might develop this into a poster, what do you reckon? Mmmm jazz, nice!

Sorry that I haven't posted anything I just have been feeling like bleh. I can admit quarantine makes me a little depressed even though I'm an introvert, I guess it combined with the rain gives me an excuse to stay in my room and never come out... Okay so there is some really sad news for the wonderful people that follow and support me... I am leaving next week, I have to give my computer back to the school... I might come back mid summer.... I might come back during the beginning of the year... I might forget about this super positive platform (not likely unless I go back to Deviant art (also not likely)... I will miss you guys and I'm only posting 1 more time after this post... Thank you... all....
