hi

Throughout this doodle I was thinking of graffiti, and how today’s world tries to mask its pure urban roots.

Hey everyone, sorry for such a long hiatus! The main reason is that I haven't been drawing so I had nothing to post. I also went through a name change, from BurningCinders to Umbra! For this piece, I played around with some new brushes and attempted to play with fog for the first time.

A creative landscape. Drawn with black fine liner pens.

Still behind but whatever :P Day 2: mindless. I had an idea for this prompt and will probably still do it, but this is a doodle I just mindlessly did on the front of my sketchbook. No thought to these I just doodle this same snarling, twisted mass when I just randomly doodle. #viowolf #vioart #vioarts #vioartstudio #vio #art #artist #inktober2019 #inktober #mindless #doodles #sketchbook #ballpointpen #monstermaker #monsters #teeth #horror #macabraart #twisted #instagramstories #Halloween #October #fearcon2019 #fearcon #supporlocalartists #darkart #artistoftwitter #artistoffacebook #artistofinstagram #artistoftumblr

Trying some new things out. Yay

First upload! Quick sketch; trying to get back into this.

I took a few moments out of my day to attempt to use most of the coloring tools in Krita whilst drawing a rough character design.

Looking out for inspiration like ⬆️

WIP of the latest Pokémon trainer girl & Scorbunny. I liked how it looks at this stage so I decided to post it before I finish coloring/shading.

As cunning as a fox - pen and ink scribble drawing which is part of a series of common sayings which will be silk screened and mounted as a set.

An unofficial sequel to a piece I did several years ago.

UI sketch for an internal product. Used to get feedback from users, product owners and developers before committing to a high fidelity design.

Started as a huge splat, turned into this.

Since folks like the one of Mars, I figured I should upload this one as well. Same concept, but I think the Mars one worked better for the commission.

final for drawing class

A fun experiment with some left over pieces of matting/framing cardboard. Watercolour, white and black markers.

Inspired by Pink Floyd's 'Breathe' from The Dark Side of the Moon album, this is a conceptual representation of a concept album.

Mission Gold Watercolor and watercolor pencils.

Bear and Crow are good friends. When bear was in a grumpy mood, crow came down to cheer him up.

Character concept doodles

Just a little leopard I sketched on a bus :P

New sketchbook time in only the space of a month! I’ll have to bulk buy the next few at this rate…

Rabbits and robots! What else?

Woodland narwhals?

Zines, all the zines!
