Took me very long to finally accept the fact that I can do anything, draw anthing on my sketchbook, that my sketchbook is a safe place for me to experiment, play, and explore styles, themes, mediums, and other ideas. I used to be so caught up in developing my own style, and being devoted to drawing only portraits.. Well.. now I’ll remember to “just draw!”
Here is my drawing of an alicorn (sometimes also called a pegacorn). I was originally just experimenting with creating light effects, but then I just kept going and this happened :) I don’t have much of a story for him, or even know what kind of environment he would live in....a desert perhaps where his golden wings could reflect the sunlight into the eyes of his enemies. Not a new OC but I changed his look due to him being green colored previously so now he is a yellow slug demon instead of being a green slug demon plus he has mouths instead of eyes.Im still tweaking his design to make him more uglier.He is a creature type demon which makes him easy to defeat moreover he can be killed by any demon (high rank or low)he can't be killed by creature types that are weaker than him.All he wants is a life long lover to marry and have offspring with but he still manages to be annoying and violent.He's another villain Snidecious and Fedren meet.
Remember when Billy Shears showed up to replace him? Nah, me neither. I wasn't going to wreck my record to hear them say it either. I know the prompt was warm colors, sadly if I did the jacket in pink or red it would've been George or Ringo. Anyway, a quick but fun sketch. "See the worst thing about doing this, doing something like this, is I think that at first people sort of are a bit suspicious. 'You know, come on, what are you up to?'"
Day 2 of Inktober (I'm hoping to do this every day this year). A quick sketch in a clearer mindset than last night. Not sure why I named him Larry, but it seemed fitting. Here's to the fact that solving a physics problem on the first try legitimately made me jump out of my chair in excitement.

Even though it's very simple and stylized, there was still a lot of detail to get right. Making a simplified, SD version of R2 was especially challenging, so I made him kinda wide. I am still experimenting with unique styles, but it was fun and I like the result.
I spent longer on the background than you probably think I did.
Here is a watercolor piece I made so I can relax, have fun with textures and my gold ink. It is meant to illustrate how those olive tree leaves shimer in the light of day.
Did a doodle sketch. Didn’t really know where this idea was going when I started it then it grew into a kind of cityscape sunset in the end. I was trying to sort of do a bridge around the buildings in an abstract unidimensional way. Well thought it was creative and different in the end.
Oils on canvass. This is Charlie. He's the parrot owned by the supermarket where my husband used to work. The owner of the shop brought him in to keep him from getting bored and pulling his feathers out. He has a large cage at the entrance which he often escapes from, and can be found hopping from trolley to trolley on the handles, to amuse himself. He's usually found by a staff member who brings him back. A real character lol
For the doodle-a-day prompt 'kiss' I went for a thimble to keep with my loose 'lost boys' theme! If you don't remember: Wendy offers Peter Pan a kiss and he holds his hands out, he doesn't know what a kiss is. She then hands him a thimble. Pretty cute - stick a cute face on it then it's SUPER CUTE
