The little lady wants to go into the pond. Getting a bit damp is not a trouble. The trouble settles on the dark cat, who is getting rather interested with the butterfly. (Spoiler alert: of course, the little lady fell...)
This picture was drawn by me with Pentool SAI software on my computer, the picture designed by me from the cameraman is the beautiful female character Dieu Thuyen sipping a glass of wine while waiting for her father to return from a victorious war. Dieu Thuyen is one of the most talented beauties I have ever known, so in the photo I added an oval lute and used pink as the main color for the embellishment. giving Dieu Thuyen a proud beauty. The Color flow of Lightness and Darkness. From Bright Yellow to Midnight Blue. Take a ride into the Dark forest and spot the light. Admiring the beauty in deep forest.
This was originally supposed to be a swamp landscape, but I got frustrated with the colors not blending, etc. I painted the whole canvas black and ended up with this
White and sanguine conte pencils on toned paper. These ruins captured my drawing itch with the quality of the light filtering brilliantly through the tangled growth outside, and the open shade within. At a metaphorical level, the image is about the sense of having a laborious path set in stone for me by custom, convention, and culture, while way is wide open to the chaotic fertility of nature, should I choose to follow my own feet and heart.
This is an old Formula 3 race car built by Joseph Potts ltd, Lanarkshire, in 1952. They have it in the National Museum of Scotland, where I drew this a couple of weeks ago as a part of Urban Sketchers meetup (as it’s too cold to go outside yet). This is pretty mixed media: pencil, watercolour pencil, white gouache and some acrylic markers. Drawn on spot.
And of course when I think of dragon, I think of Drogon and Daenerys Targaryen- “The First is Her Name, The Unburnt, Queens of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Queen of Meereen, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Protector of the Realm, Lady Regent of the Seven Kingdoms, Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons”.
