Drawing of leaves and nuts from the Marri tree, found in the Southwest region of Western Australia. This majority of trees that surround my property are the Marri from the Myrtaceae family is endemic to this area. They grow upwards of 40 metres and are a favourite food to the protected Red-tailed Black Cockatoo.
A captivating exploration of form, this work features an imaginative flower with a distinctive, almost sculptural head. The smooth, folded petals suggest a soft resilience, like a fleshy, protective helmet, while delicate antennae reach tentatively toward the light. The long, winding stem and minimal leaves anchor the drawing, creating a strong vertical movement. Rendered in a mix of colored pencil and graphite, the piece uses subtle shading to give the subject a remarkable three-dimensional quality, making it pop against the neutral background.
Here is a watercolor piece I made so I can relax, have fun with textures and my gold ink. It is meant to illustrate how those olive tree leaves shimer in the light of day.

This piece was an entry for a mystery baby contest on DA, where you design the adult based on the given egg and its I theme. The creature belongs to a made-up species(Byubuu) that the host created.
I'm playing a lot with the background texture. I'm discovering the power of brushes from Krita Software.
I fell in love with the gouache texture effect.
I like the silhouettes in this illustration, but the leaves could be better. I need to find a good brush for drawing leaves faster and with ease.
Or maybe I should try some other techniques?

The logo symbol was created with the sun, leaves, and stars. As you know the Sun is the largest source of clean energy in the world. It is eco-friendly that's why I included the sun's rays as leaves and all leaves are connected to each other like solar cells. Star comes from the name 'Loolo'. I tried to catch my breath after all the running; I finally got to the bus stop. The wind was blowing vigorously, the rain clouds were approaching. It was a very typical spring morning.
It's a quick digital recreation of my last gouache painting.
And I don't like it very much.
- I had trouble finding a good brush for painting leaves on the top of the tree.
- There is no magic like in traditional art.
- I didn't enjoy drawing as much as painting with gouache.
- I couldn't peel off the tape when I was done.
