This is more of a test than anything, but I thought this would be go a good one to test uploading with. I basically just created this character from my head. If you're interested in the materials I used, I created it with a basic watercolor set using a wet on wet technique for the background, A sharpie outline, and the color on the character was created by using Prismacolor colored pencils.
New Quay is a quaint little seaside town on the Ceredigion coast. This was my second attempt at pen and wash in 2018 and it totally bombed. I'm not sure there's anything I like about this - the colours, the linework, the lack of texture. Nah! Definitely worth trying again at some point.
I found this drawing online of something like this. I traced most of it but some was cut off so I made up what was happening. Colored and shaded myself... I am gonna do fanart soon I promise.
I'm a big nerd for fictional characters with an inanimate object for a head --- Phone guy, Flug, Ball guy, etc.. So, I made my own! He's got static for a head, which makes a low buzzing sound. It can morph into outlines of objects. They can talk, too, without a mouth, by making different pitches of humming with the static, if you catch my drift. I'm not sure how they can see, yet, but I'll think of something. The hoodie they have on is a reference to Pokemon Red and Green's cover art. His name shall be Cameron! Drawn with FireAlpaca.
I had a time, when monkeys were featured very often in my artworks. Even now, they emerge in the story-lines. Amazing creatures! This sketchbook piece is done using graphic markers, posca and pen.

A far cry from how I usually draw. The lineart is messy and I colored sloppily, with the watercolor brush. This guy is the first out of three paint moster generations --- yes, this guy is made of white paint. The mahogany lines aren't blood, but rather mahogany paint. A person is depicted wearing a large pet recovery cone around their neck, trying to check his smartphone with the words "Digital Detox" prominently displayed. The image humorously comments on the idea of needing a barrier to reduce phone usage.
(Gel Fineliner on A5 Paper) The central image is small because it is that small (about 4cm). It's the first of five which represents that point every artist gets to where they say to themselves: "I really CAN'T BE ARSED doing this!" and casually knock out anything. I thought it was apt for the "encouraging" nature of Inktober ;P
