God Provides

God Provides Mural: acrylic paint on Stretched canvas. Size: H 30 “x 40” w 1” D In this mural I seek to illustrate How God through Jesus provide for the spiritual needs of humans. The first century fishing boat with its nets stretch out to dry on the shore, Jesus calls us to leave our old live behind and join Him on a new adventure. Just as he calls his disciples to leave their lives of fishing and join Him in bring people back to God. The illustration of a boy lunch in a desolate place, we are reminded that God know our physical as well spiritual needs. If we seek to put him first in our lives, He will take care of the rest. Jesus and Peter walking on the rage ocean, God call us to weather many great storms, to be able to participate in rescuing of the spiritually drawing. We always need to be reminded to keep our eye on Christ unless we become filled with fear and we become overwhelmed by our hostel environment and being to sink. Jesus on the cross, God knowing no sin, sent His son to be a sacrifice, the innocent trading place with a vile criminal to face a horrible death on the cross. We can all identify with Barabbas, for because of our sinful words and deeds, we ourselves are criminals before a Holy God. If we identify with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection from the dead, for the payment of our transgression. This is the only way to be forgiven and washed clean of our sinful past. We have been given the holy spirit to enable us to turn from sin and walk in the newness of life through His word and spirit. The rock with ALPA and OMEGA and Irish flower carved in it: represent Our eternal God who existed in the eternal past and will exist in the enteral future. The rock with dove facing down, represent the coming of Holy Spirit who Jesus sent, after He went back to Heaven. He came to teach us all truth about spiritual things, about God, to give us understand of His words, and to strength our bodies, minds, spirits to enable us to do the will of God. The rock with fish symbol: Represents the sign first century Christian would draw on the ground to test a person to find out if they were a true follower of Christ or if they were a spy, trying to expose were the Christians met for church. So, the Roman could arrest and kill Christians. How the test was administered: The initiator would drawl half the body of the fish in the grown, then the person being evaluated, if they were a Christian would know to draw the second half of the fish. Bandurist and Blue Egg
1/5

A pair of Ukrainian Easter eggs I've made. My designs are not especially traditional and are instead inspired by old wood cut art. The first egg features a musician playing a bandura and the second has 4 pictures, fish, forest, wheat and mountains. The eggs are made using beeswax applied with a metal tool called a Kistka (heated via a candle or electricity) you draw on the egg wherever you want to preserve its current colour before putting it into a dye bath working from the lightest colours to the darkest. When you have finished you remove the wax using a candle a paper towel and a little patience. heating and wiping away. then you can blow out your egg by making a hole in its top and bottom, smashing the yolk with a needle and blowing. These eggs are a couple of years old but we've pulled them out for easter last weekend.

#27 Plants vs Zombies fanart

#27 Plants vs Zombies fanart - This was an old piece I drew during a live stream on magma.com a few years ago. I got around to finishing it last night in ibisPaint and then made some color adjustments in Photoshop. I stink at coloring in my opinion and I usually don't color my line drawings because I get a little bit antsy staying in the lines. The following characters I drew are: The Tree is named Mourning Wood - which is a mini-boss from the game Terraria, the sunflower is from Conker's Bad Fur Day, The Piranha Plant is a recurring enemy in the Super Mario franchise, Peashooter and Puff-shroom are from Plants vs. Zombies, Ivysaur from Pokemon, Water Lily Siren from Shantae, the toon witch Samantha from the tv show Bewitched (intro), and Godzilla.

Koi Fish Themed Character

I did this drawing weeks ago and loved how it turned out, I used Copic markers, Microns, white gel pens, and Ohuhu markers. I did the sketch a different day then the coloring so I could take time to think about what colors I'd use in the artwork.

Russian Church

Behind the Russian Church there is an abyss. The moss and the rubbish are slippery and jagged old tins glitter at the bottom. For hundreds of years they have piled up higher and higher against a long dark-red house without windows. The red house crawls round the rock and it is very significant that it has no windows. Behind the house is the harbour, a silent harbour with no boats in it. The little wooden door in the rock below the church is always locked. Hold your breath when you run past it, I told Poyu. Otherwise Putrefaction will come out and catch you. Poyu always has a cold. He can play the piano and holds his hands in front of him as if he were afraid of being attacked or was apologizing to someone. I always scare him and he follows me because he wants to be scared. - Sculptor's Daughter by Tove Jansson #dailydrawing #tovejansson

Fit for a King! I should have posted this yesterday as the 27th April was King's Day in Holland and a huge celebration day for the Dutch. The King and Queen visit a different city each year, but not by bike I'm sure.

Second Chance

Starting this past winter I began redoing some of my old artwork. This one was painted about 15 years ago--is quite pale. Soon I'll be brightening it, adding more value contrast. After each redo is done, I choose the next. Anyone else out there do redos? I'd love to hear about your experiences.
