My mind is on Puna so much lately. I love Hawaii...was born there and rediscovered it as an adult. I stay in Puna area when I go, in little houses I rent, or once, housesitting for a friend. This drawing was made one day when Mom and Dad and I went to Pohoiki to sketch. This little cottage and park is in the path of the flow and may already be gone. You can no longer drive there as the roads have been cut off by the lava flow. My heart goes out to all Hawaii residents dealing with this massive lava flow, and the VOG that goes with it.
There might be a few weird reflections in this as I had to take a pic of it on my screen to get a file large enough....I gave the original to a friend who lives near the park.
I made up the color but I made her while working on my sona for myself, I like her design a lot I should've used a reference her torso is a little short idk. I thought of writing an anthology series for her.
Making original characters is fun. This outfit was made up of weathered clothing and recycled material for a nuclear apocalypse and dangerous desert life. It doesn't look like it'll fit hot climates tho
Based on photo but different this drawing from the original picture. I drew it a few months ago. I used Derwent Academy, Staedtler and Fiorello colour pencils. I don’t drew many color pictures yet because I don't have enough pencils.

This is a digital rendering of a drawing I have recreated several times. The original was a doodle done in high school and has since been done as a painting, a tattoo design, and now as digital art. My inspiration was 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', classic cartoons (Woody the Woodpecker), and pinup art styles.
DAY ONE OF INTENSIVE ART TRAINING! Okay, back up, calm down... So! A little background. I am going into INTENSIVE ART TRAINING because I'm not the best at drawing humans. I want to get better so I can draw people, characters, and find my style. There will be 50 days, and this is day one. This drawing came from an old sketchbook from middle school. Original characters for a story which might never see the day of light. Amar and Aska belongs to me, Augustine and Sayeed belongs to my Hubby. We call them the Ass quartet or The triple As A-S. Augustine would be the main character, Amar her foil/lancer, and Aska and Sayeed would be supporting characters. I'm still practising communicating though character and setting design, so I will probably re-design them about 100 times more before they will ever be done.
Tried some papercutting. I made a stencil then copied it and put over some collage. I need to work on my gluing technique and probably try out some different paper, but glad I kept the original stencil.

For this piece I used acrylic paints and acrylic markers. My inspiration was my love of tattoo flash and traditional/neo-traditional tattoo designs. I grew up flipping through pages of tattoo flash catalogues and the art inside was a huge influence in my own art. Some of these pieces are my versions of popular designs and some are originals.
I kept imagining her instead of drawing her down. Seraphina Belphoebe Harbinger has a loving big family and friends but they are not essential to the story I plan to use her in, Originally her design was similar to a Summer palette of Princess Peach but after multiple changes to my art style, this is her current look. Rose was originally the name I gave her and then I renamed her as Cossette but given the story I planned for her to be in she'll be nicknamed "Sera". I wanted for a look to be close to being an ideal homemaker like her mother. She's very friendly, innocent and naive. She's meant to be a character that doesn't belong in an environment she's forced to survive in
I’m not sure who the artist was who made the original digital version, but I liked the picture and decided I would give it a go. By no means did I come up with the pose or idea I just loved the original and this is my best attempt to do it justice.
