I often have weird dreams that inspire my artwork, and that one I had last night where I took over a jungle (or was it a forest? I don’t know) sure got me inspired.
This was an exercise in taking a photo that was quite dark and foreboding and turning it into a happy looking illustration. I'm slowly getting my head around how to make my work look like illustration instead of "fine art". This is watercolour and colour pencil.
One day, in the afternoon she was sitting on that seat with a thin heart. She was feeling watercolor with full brightness hitting her soul slowly. In her heart said, "what was I do? Everything is very simple, just follow the truth about my life. But, I can't do it and back anymore". Creating robots is sort of a coping mechanism for me, and Jester. We have Elizabeth, as always, and some different characters --- Paris the fox, who plays the guitar, and Altero, the rabbit, who does the drums. Finally, Carol, who plays the piano --- these new characters resemble Preistor, Altor, and Lexibo respectfully --- but I changed their animal associations because a bear and a rabbit were just too close to Freddy's band. Now all we have to worry about is the rabbit. Oh, and Carol is an owl.
“Claire!” Elle woke up with her daughter’s name on her lips. Startled, she sat up and looked around the living room with her heart still beating loudly in her chest. A dream, she realized dazedly.
Slowly, she crossed the way to the back door. With unseeing eyes she gazed out into the garden.
She remembered waking up in the hospital six years ago and seeing her husband sitting next to her. She remembered how he took her hand into his and looked at her with eyes full of despair. He told her that the doctor thought Claire might not survive. That she might die before she was even born, die before she had a chance to look into her mum’s eyes, feel a kiss on her forehead, clench her little fist around her dad’s finger, hear them speaking to her without a belly barrier between them… It was a silent, terrible death. It was the death of someone so precious, so innocent, so tiny…
Elle took a shuddering breath.
This is the first page of my comic I am starting. Hopefully I can upload a couple times a week so that you can see the full story unfold and not have to wait too long. In this page the main character (Olly, who is a witch btw) sees a golden owl.
This is a digital drawing. Me and my family are fans of chinese food, so one day I decided to draw something based on chinese cuisine. I also love pandas and they're really fun to draw. Hope you like this fun little pic!
