Whenever I make an artwork. I start with a random image and just start flowing while I edit. I belief that this will lead the result to deflect the state of my mind. In this case it was a photo of me and my cat. Take a moment a find the message this picture has to offer you. I hope that I was able to add something to your flow of thoughts.
Hey everyone! This is an interactive website I did for my BFA thesis this year. The piece explores the struggles I’ve faced as a black, lesbian woman. This piece features events that happened when I was in an unhealthy relationship in high school, from late-2016 to mid-2017. The work combines CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and HTML with digitized images that I drew on paper, using black colored pencil. I'd really appreciate some feedback and critique for this work. This is only the second time I've done pixel art. (both times were today) This is based on my own hand, which has rather stubby fingers, but I added some lighter touches that make it more feminine than my own. (I rather like my black nails, thank you very much)
Another Leuna (angelic, sapient, chimera) design. This one is named Lume. He radiates pleasant warmth , can control fire, improves the luck of those around him, and is uncharacteristically wealthy.
A spooky mixture of A bearded vulture and a vampire bat. I named him Merlot, he is what I call a false pheonix. Merlot can survive forever as long as he consumes blood, but he needs a lot.
The Good Shephard. I finally colored it in, added grass and clouds and stuff. Originally inspired by a picture I saw at my grandparents house. If we feel like a little black sheep at times just remember that Jesus will leave the 99 to go in search of us, no matter what our sins may be. Cutthroat - Leader of the Pirate Faction, and one of the most infamous of his time. Haven't made a good drawing of him in a while, this one turned out better than I expected.
its been a while. i've been working on a gift for the last month. i need permission to post that picture because its a friends baby. its my best drawing yet. hopefully i can post. here is my latest project. this is a picture of my father before he headed to the US.
I'm currently doing exercises from DrawABox. Although the header here is: "The Aspiration is just to fill a page. It's not a product. No one has to see it." I will probably end up posting more of these. This is not the same as the graphic journal, which is more about me, my daily activities, etc.
