I share with you a very special project I had the pleasure to participate in 2021, an initiative of @humanityonthemove.hom with @thisisastromag There were more than 70 artists who, in collaboration with refugees, worked together to build artistic pieces. The result was a virtual exhibition, which culminated in an online auction to support @donate4refugees . With all the art pieces sold, they managed to raise 3336 euros. Here is the result of my collaboration with F.!

Being Ugly Sucks

Here on this acrylic/ink on canvas piece, you can see a Loupee realizing that it truly, in fact, is very ugly. Actually so ugly, that it began to melt its surrounding reality causing its shadow to lose its true vibrancy. All it wanted was to see was its pupils. No one can relate to this situation any better than you can.

Jester redesign because Im going to hell

Life has been an absolute hell-hole lately; I often tell myself to cling on; but for what? There will be nothing waiting for me at the end, if I piece things back together. Please do not take any of this seriously. I often can't.

A Snail - Drawn Carriage

A quirky pen & ink piece . . . This one was super fun to draw! The situation being depicted continually brought me smiles as I was working on it . . . and I have my sister and the Lord to thank for the inspiration. ❤️

Terror and Peace

This painting started out as a pumpkin design for the Chads Ford, Pennsylvania, Historical Society’s Great Pumpkin Carve, which I have been participating in for the last eleven years. What inspired me to turn the design into a lasting painting was the message, made the design so relevant. It seems the message, which echoes louder and louder as each day passes; the force of heaven and hell are coming out of the dark and into the daylight. The dove in the painting has always been used in mankind’s history to represent hope, peace, and the symbol of the Holy Spirit. The sun in the Bible is called the greater light that governs the day. So, I used dove and the sun to represent the spiritual force of the heavenly kingdom that is seen and unseen in our world. The bat is known as a creature of the night, thought to be a foul creature that people fear. The moon in the Bible is called the lesser light, which was created to govern the night, to give light on to the earth at night. Nighttime is mentioned in the Bible as when men do their evil deeds. Before man invented methods to light the street and people’s homes, people limited their activity at night due to the absence of light. People with superstitious beliefs believe that demonic creature dwelt in the shadow and would attack them if they stepped out of the light. Another historical fact is that bandits would hide in the dark and rob night travelers. People also worked while it was daylight, then would party, get drunk, and sleep around at night. The Bible mentions that those who reject God’s Messiah do not come into the light because their deeds are evil, and they don’t want them to be exposed. So I chose to use the bat and the moon to symbolize the dark evil kingdom of the fallen angels. 168 The reason why the two creatures converge in the middle is because mankind is the centerpiece that both sides are contesting for. Man kind, in the beginning, was created as a holy creation. But just as Satan decided he was going to exalt himself above His Creator, he went to the rest of the angels to get them to join his army to dethrone God. When Satan and his army lost the battle for the heavenly kingdom, He turned his eyes to conquering the earthly realm by tempting mankind, who God had gifted the deed of the earth to. The devil possesses a snake to hold a conversation with man to deceive them into distrusting God and leading them to disobey the commandment from God not to eat from The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. This is how man became the middle battleground. God’s force is battling to restore mankind back to fellowship with God and regain their citizenship in God’s eternal kingdom. Satan and his army of fallen angels work on deceiving, afflicting, and destroying mankind in hope of taking as many as his army can drag to the eternal lake of fire, where God will throw everyone who has denounced Him as their God and king. The David Bennent Effect, November 2021.

1979’s The Tin Drum is one of those films I’ve been itching to see for a long time, but haven’t got round to yet for some reason. The main character in that film’s played by a guy called David Bennent. Not a household name for most, but you’ve seen Ridley Scott’s Legend, you’ll recognise him when he played Honeythorn Gump, Tom Cruise/Jack’s elfin pal. Not sure why the idea to name this piece after D.B. occurred to me, but it did!

Girl Wearing A Lovely Black Shirt

OnAugust 27, 2017, this photo was taken by accident at a hair salon. I was fortunate to win first place in the “Portrait Art” contest at the beginning of 2017 and was well-liked by young people. This photo was taken by me and kept in my album collection. This is a piece of art that I created with my Android phone, the Samsung Galaxy A71, and a 64MP Tetracell Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor. PicsArt Photo Studio software is used to edit photos. The aperture on this sensor is f1.8. Bamboo (2021)

While watching "Alexandra Ehle" a new French series released on MHz Choice I noticed the character was using the app Tayasui Sketches on her iPad. Since I hadn't used the app for awhile today felt like the right time to dive into it again. This speedy painting is the result. Using a background I had created some time ago suggested a limited palette which helped the flow of the piece onto the screen. The series stars Julie Depardieu.

20,0000 Leagues Under the SEA

This is a pumpkin caving of the infamous Nautilus submarine, owned by the pirate captain Nemo . Who sunk ship that supported war, ramming them with his submarine. In this tale Nemo's ship gets attacked by a monstrous giant squid. I caved this design at the Chadds Ford Historical Society's Great Pumpkin Carve contest and event. This is a live carve event. Artist have no idea what kind of pumpkin they will be given to carve. No knowledge of shape, color, size, or condition. Competitors must create their design with manual hand tools. Cavers have 6 hours to create their master pieces, to be considered to qualify to be judged ,to compete for the prize . The size of the average pumpkin is from 200 to 400 pounds , and their wall are about 5 inched thick. It took me 6 hours to carve my pumpkin design. Stephen J. Vattimo 10/18/2021
