Still playing with ballpoint pens. This time, I tried a “scribble” drawing, holding the pen way back on the shaft and making little circles and scribbles….then layering them over and over. It was actually very liberating and fun. I did this on a Canson sketch paper….which didn’t wear through, but did buckle a little towards the end.

Just playing with lines and pens

Playing vr everyday. My mind is just blown daily. Spent 30minutes in hell on the last level of rush of blood, could get use to being down there. For real though, vr is just a must try for anyone.

To get a feel of how shading works for watercolor I had fun playing and learning. Not perfect but I’m working on it.

This is my death, Fae Dimitri. He is a psychopomp. meaning he guides the dead to their afterlife. I was playing around with non-standard ears, in this case, using damselfly wings. And... If you're worried that he's judging your outfit. Yes yes, he is.

I love the look of river rocks in a stream. This was playing around with a sheet of random alcohol inks and other scraps.

I drew him after browsing through a book about the history of playing cards.

I'm goin full Joshua on this one. They are a team and cannot be separated! They will save the world when they aren't playing video games.

PLaying in the studio with watercolour paints and inks - created a planetarium of textural ideas - had great fun doing this and now plan to use some these effects in my next piece.

I've been playing with gesture drawing of humans and animals. Here are some quick pencil sketches of horses in motiion. 2B and 6B pencils on Canson sketch pad paper.

Playing with watercolor and learning to draw chibi characters

Hand drawn repeat pattern design, I used ink and then pencil crayon on top. The idea was to create a realistic scene of what life was like for me in the 80's - as opposed to cutesy images of children playing with puppies etc.

Playing with colored pencils this week. This is very loosely based on a photo....changed hair, eyes, and skin tones to suit my mood. Vintage Conte a Paris Criterium, Prismacolor Verithin, and Tombow Irojiten pencils.

In the spring and summer where I work we have "Yacht Rock Friday" and even though everyone is home now, it's still playing on my speakers.
