Here are some figure drawing images from last year that I think turned out well. These are all quickish poses, 20 mins max.

I modified the challenge a wee bit. I didn't use the same paper for the various drawings since I was using (top row, left to right) hard graphite pencils (3H to HB), watercolor pencils, (bottom row, left to right) brush pens and ballpoint pen. These media work best on very different paper textures and moisture absorbing qualities. The second picture shows the object of my study --- and the apparatus I use to hold botanical subjects. "Third hand" tools are very useful and cheap. This one was under $10 and serves my purposes well. Just FYI. (Each drawing/painting was scanned and composited in Photoshop.)

Kat is one of my favourite models. She has the most beautiful faces, full of character. Even when sitting between poses, as featured here, she has the most commanding look.

A fun drawing to do. I usually do a lot of crosshatching, but for this one I went for the smoothness, better to capture the light, I suppose, where crosshatching can be a little distracting. Or look like hair! As some have said.

I'm trying to work on body posture and poses, I like to think I'm getting better.

Hey Boos! It's me Peekaboo! This drawing was made by a lasso tool (some parts arent lasso tool for design purposes) and the day before yesterday I got surgery on my arm so I get to skip out on PE!

I'm planning on writing and illustrating a superhero comic soon. So I'm practicing dynamic poses, foreshortening, all the stuff. Need to get better at bullets though. Yes, that is a pom-pom. It's the only hat she had.

I've been going through my sketches, both completed and incomplete, and found a drawing of a young Sumatran Tiger that I began working on around two years ago, but never completed. I'm actually relieved that I didn't draw it earlier, as it has allowed me to gain more experience in illustrating this stunning creature, which is unfortunately a species at risk of extinction. A few facts about the Sumatran Tigers... The Sumatran tiger Panthera tigris sumatrae*, the smallest tiger subspecies, is critically endangered and stands as the final surviving species of island tigers. Poaching poses a significant danger to Sumatran tigers as hunters target them for their skin, bones, and canines. Additionally, habitat loss caused by oil palm, coffee, and acacia plantations, further endangers these big cats by reducing their prey availability and pushing them closer to human habitations. It is estimated that there are fewer than 400 mature individual tigers in Sumatra in isolated pockets of protected land. Three of the protected areas are classified as UNESCO World Heritage Sites but all are in danger of losing this status due to threats from poaching, illegal logging, agricultural encroachment, and planned road building. It is for these reasons the Sumatran tiger is classified in the most severe IUCN status: Critically endangered. Description: The Sumatran tiger is the smallest and darkest tiger subspecies and tends to be more bearded and maned than the other subspecies. Male tigers can expect to reach somewhere in the region of 120kg and 8ft from head to tail vs females who average 91kg and 7ft length. Breeding: Female tigers are sexually mature at about 3 or 4 years of age, and males at about 4 to 5 years. I finally did it. I completed my 100 gestures Challenge. You can do a gesture in 2-3 minutes (or even faster if you are trained), so you can complete such challenge in 4-5 hours. I decided to do gesture drawing as a habit, take some extra time to select poses which I find interesting and draw on most of the days at least one gesture. I started in April and now I'm done in December, which means 7 months later. As it is now a habit I will not stop drawing gestures after the challenge, but I passed a milestone. Thanks for watching.

So here is the fanart I promised. Gonna try doing more of this however I am gonna take a break from digital drawing for a small bit. Not saying I won’t. Just saying a bit less digital drawing. Nova is from the renegades trilogy and is a fantastic character. Marissa Meyer does best. I thought I wouldn’t face head on because I got inspired from some other artists doing poses so I thought it would be cool!

I have been attempting for some time to accomplish the 100 heads challenge, its been a slow process but my goal is 4 poses from 25 characters from some of my favorite movies and t.v. Series. Ive enjoyed this project so far and have noticed its pushed me to work on some much needed improvement on drawing heads in general.

I finally drew Prince Fendren's ectoplasmic yet wicked companion,Snideacious.last time I drew him was last year and I didn't name him at all but he was still my OC.He is a low ranking phantom demon who's only purpose is to possess,kill and destroy.due to this,the rest of his kind has been wiped out entirely,making him the only possessor demon in hell,he travels throughout locations in hell.he was almost killed by many demons he tried to take control of.Fedren and him have a mutual relationship,Fedren had no desire to kill him considering snides weakness is magick he can be controlled but not mind controlled (no brain)Snide hates Fedren,often insulting him and even enjoying seeing him in pain when he is fighting a foe.Snide has possessed Fedren before,which was not only agonizing to Fedren but embarassing (being half naked inside the kingdom) since then he only posesses him for a good reason,they both go on adventures (although dangerous) in hell together,meeting new demons(usually evil) and discovering realms.(ignore my terrible handwriting)
