This painting/ drawing is started in the Abstract with forms created organically. I used Acrylics and applied them liberally as you might use in watercolor techniques. I love challenging myself to create in this form, as I do in finding the figures which may form themselves in the process. I then detail the figures in a drawing style to enhance and bring it forward. It’s part of a three piece series I made in this color story and can also be seen on my ArtFinder page, available for purchase. @adrianajgarces

Critically Endangered The White-headed Vulture has undergone catastrophic declines in population number, with an estimate median decline in 96% over three generations (45 years)
This decline has been seen in its very large range from West Africa, across to southern Africa also. Reductions in populations of medium-sized mammals and wild ungulates, as well as habitat conversion throughout its range best explain the current decline. Additional threats include indirect poisoning at baits set to kill jackals in small-stock farming areas. This species is also recorded in trade in West and Central Africa as this species is used for both traditional medicines and also they are intentionally killed for use in witchcraft. This species is part of the Accipitridae bird family, which diverged from all other species of bird 49.6 million years ago during the Paleogene period. Vultures split from the other genera in this family 12.7 million years ago. This species is highly sensitive to land-use and is concentrated to protected areas. Individuals were marked with patagial (wing) tags in Fouta Djallon vulture sanctuary to monitor movements and for a toxicological assessment of the vulture population of the park. Additional studies to monitor the movements of individuals within and between protected areas in underway is South Africa. A predator reduced to bone but not to silence. The body is gone, yet the motion remains — jaw open, spine curved, still moving through water that no longer needs flesh to carry it. This is not a fossil resting in sand; it is a hunter that never learned how to stop.
The ocean keeps its shape alive. Instinct outlasts life.
Some creatures don’t die — they continue.
Hey boos. I'm sorry I haven't been posting often. I've been really depressed recently. This morning, I though about ending it all. But I didn't. It was to close to Christmas and I didn't want to ruin anything for anyone again. I'm sorry guys. I'm so sorry.
Finding out why I wasn't able to properly draw something like this readily in pencil... This sort of styling is better represented in less-detailed styles such as paint, or even using just a marker. Pencils are highly detail-oriented, and... this is the "essence" that I have been trying to present behind the pencil medium...
An old piece. It was previously very rough, but recent improvements in photo editing skills made it look better and better as time passed. Probably... my impression of a wondrous dream world? Music inspiration: Metrik - Freefall (Ft. Reija Lee)
Sonic Boom was a decent, self-aware show; though I may be giving it extra points for having a rare Fawlty Towers reference lol. Also a rare drawing I did straight digitally as opposed to drawing on paper first. Still prefer paper. Old habits die hard!
Other than being a New Year's resolution, it's been a goal for me to get better at working with acrylic paints and patience. So far I'm making progress and practicing as much as I can. I love mini canvas, they're so much fun.
I tend to use line art a lot and did this in Procreate to practice breaking free. It was gonna be a T-Rex per my son’s request but it evolved into a squirrel-like creature. Still made the T-Rex too later.
Hi! I just now created this page because I have a problem!! I love the idea of drawing (digital, graphite, markers, microns you name it), BUT I never actually get anything finished. It's a curse that has haunted me my entire life. Any good advice on how to stay consistent and follow through with your drawings? This one I've been doodling with Sketchable, using the photo to the left as reference just to eyeball off. I worked on it for a few days and was super inspired and now a year has passed from that (!!!) and It's still in this stage of almost done but I'm struggling with getting back into it..
Hi dudes, no proper doodle post 2day coz it's my day off... plz come back 2moro. Peace, Love, Art 'n' Hugs 4 Every1 Everywhere :) !! https://artdavidmeehan.blogspot.com/p/e.html
