Painted Zip disk. Mixed media. I love old retro stuff and found rejected objects. It's hard to believe how fast zip, floppy, jaz, etc. disks became yesterdays technology. It's about time these old disks found a new purpose and some respect.
Overview:
The title of this piece is directly inspired by the lyrics of the song "Rabbit In Your Headlights" by UNKLE. I liked the fact that I shook the static sensation of this shot using some vibrant colours and decoration. The subjects seems to be frozen in time, waiting for someone that will save them.
"Retro 1" is a quick freehand drawing I created last year. Size of the original is 9" x 12". I used Posca pens on archival paper. Limited edition prints are available. This is a piece I did, based off of a prompt in a daily creating group that I am a member of on Facebook. The theme was Polka Dots (If the title wasn't obvious). Looking forward to trying out DoodleAddicts!
An old-style doodle, with many parts to look at! This took a few days, from the initial drawing, to inking, to uploading to my computer and digitally coloring and adding textures and detail! Lots of fun, and definitely different from my normal doodle-style. Thanks for viewing!
