I like imagining static objects having human feelings and expressions. This little plumb one is telling me its emotion of the moment, perhaps contemplative sadness? Waiting for its time to shine?
Words something so simple but yet so destructive. They become your inner voice, your torment they become the demons you try to appease. But when there is one that shines brighter than the others. It becomes charming, alluring, but yet the most destructive one of all. All you do...is feed it.

Ella and Eve is a reminder that hope is not lost. Imagine having a rare form of cancer and being so young. Yet, they still have a smile on their faces. They shine with hope, courage, and positivity in the face of adversity!
No matter how dark things get, hold on to the Light of Hope! Even if you seem to be surrounded by shadows, know that you have people and spiritual beings that care about you. Your Guardian Angel is always by your side and your Father is always watching you, silently, lovingly. All you have to do is reach out. Cry out and listen in the silence of your heart. Nourish the light inside and it will grow until your eyes are healed from the blindness this world gives. "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." (John 1:5) The darkness has not and will not overcome it, you are in my prayers and God loves you. ^_^ I'm feeling more energy now to draw and study, please pray for me as well, I must pray or else the waves of depression will tear me down. Toadsworthy! If a Toad like Toadsworth became a Bishop, Lol. So a "Toad" is one of those mushroom guys from Super Mario Bro's if you can't tell. I saw toadsworth and and thought if he was in medieval times of something he could probably be a bishop or something. Then you'd have Toad priests and Paladins n stuff! You could totally make a D&D campaign with Toads and koopa's n stuff! Yeah! ... lol my imagination is weird like that.

From Sketch to Final Water Coloring Stages, this is a spread from Tide Day! A lot goes into making a good composition, taking into account the center of the image where the binding is, and how to play with size and negative space. One of my favorite things to do is explore contrasting expressions between characters and highlight their emotions through physical stances and expressions. This was a tough challenge with the lack of limbs and the watery context, but Pearl's stubbornness and attitude shines through!
