The "Scenic Views" painting shows the autumn season with yellow and orange leaves with a narrow river in the center of multiple oak trees. This painting is made using acrylic paints with a mix of knife and brush for trees and leaves. This wall art is modern and ideal for the living room or bedroom. I passed this old workshop numerous times going from Carmarthen to Drefach-Felindre. Eventually I parked up and took a photo so I could sketch it. I love old buildings like this which seem to be everywhere here in Wales.
Hand drawn line work then digitally colored. Part of a weekly prompt challenge from my local art shop. The character is loosley based on a well know japanese octopus character.
I wanted it to look like the chalkboard menus in quirky cafes. I drew the image with a Blackwing pencil, scanned it into Photoshop, inverted, then applied the colors.
