A breakdown of the Bic4 pen and No-name 10 colour pen layering that I’ve used.
Drawing in a single direction instead of using back-and-forth movement alleviates some of the blotching that happens when using ballpoint pens. The back-and-forth method usually deposits the gunk that builds up on the tip of the ballpoint, smearing them in unexpected and unfortunate places on the drawing. When using the back-and-forth method, I usually have a napkin handy in order to clean the tip of the pen. Model: Meadhbh (Maeve)

Done 2021 with lead pencils on 11x17 bristol. I had in mind to draw heaven and hell drawings but the hell drawing did not turn out good so it was torn and so this is the one i still have. Finally something new and fresh, again it was my first time to draw an animal with fur, which seemed always so difficult thing for me and still is, but now I'm not afraid of it anymore.
As you can tell from the title, I didn’t originally intend to have another ray as the main character here but alas… happy accidents, right? Plus I feel it works for no reason other than it just does, so I don’t care too much really ☠️
